There was a section of the deep forest few dared to tread, especially in the dark. Especially recently. People had began to hear rumors of patches of the land dying. As if all the life had been completely drained from it. Withered. Grey. Lifeless. People already avoided that area of the forest. Now there were just a few more reasons to.
It started with a woman a few weeks back. After a close call with death, she came back to her loved ones, but everyone assumed the only thing that changed about her was her sight. But an incident that occurred a couple days later worried her. While napping outside by her favorite spot in the back yard one day, she had a very intense dream about her past, and had woken up to find the ground where she was laying to be withered and lifeless. And as it started to worsen, she noticed that touching anything that was 'living' would drain the life from it. Especially whenever she had been rather emotional. Especially when thinking about the past. Generally whenever Kaiden was involved, even if indirectly.
Kaiden...
She started spending less time around people, and more time out at night. She was finding it increasingly difficult to talk to her loved ones. She was avoiding Tori as much as possible. She didn't want to put him through this with everything else going on. And recently, she just took to wandering the deep, avoided sections of the woods. That was when people started noticing the patches of dead land.
Nuriko sat on the ground in the middle of a clearing, leaning against a tree. Everything surrounding her was withered and lifeless. There were no birds chirping, no crickets. Silence. Darkness. Devoid of all signs of life, except for her. She had been dreaming again, this time much more intense than the last few. She thought that she had gotten over her feelings for Kaiden, but the recent incident with her mother and Thanatos completely ruined it. She still had the memories from the day that her mother had messed with her mind. If anything, the time Kaiden had spent with her that day had made even more of an imprint on her mind. She opened her eyes, looking around the clearing. Her eyes were no longer the silvery white they had been, but were not a misty silvery grey. Any normal person wouldn't have been able to see at all, but she had better sight at night than normal people. Though there was no moon, so she still couldn't see much. But she welcomed the darkness at the moment. It helped her hide her shame.
And she hated herself for being so jealous. Kaiden having slept with Pandora and is now having twins with her, it drove her into fits of jealousy she didn't think possible in her mind. She closed her eyes and stood up, trying to calm herself. She sighed, her breath mingling with the sound of a slight breeze blowing the dead leaves across the ground.

The eyes of the seer were giving off the glow of shame, giving Nocturne unintended pleasure. He stood behind her watching her stand withing her own feelings of shame. He looked over her and gave a smirk of interest, it was quietly making his mind move into areas that were as dark as this area of the woods. He stood there for countless moments, waiting for her to speak to him. He knew she was aware he was there, she always had that ability to sense others no matter who it was. However, there was a few things even she couldn't see. These things were what he cherished most, the unforeseen.
He stepped forward looking at the sky, the air here was thick. It felt like death, which seemed fitting as they both were involved with it. But, in very different ways. He took a deep breath before stepping toward her.
"This air... Its quite delectable isn't it Death?" he said stepping in front of her. He kept his back toward her, in a mocking gesture. Not unlike a cat teasing dogs atop a tree branch. He knew she wouldn't strike, it wasn't in her nature. He grinned and looked at the lifless area and sighed. He turned to her giving her a smirk that he hoped she could feel as deep as her very soul.
"Its almost perfect... Wouldn't you agree?"

Nuriko had known Nocturne had been standing behind her for a little while now. His energy was something she couldn't ever miss. Hers would be overpowering his if they weren't blending almost perfectly at the moment, making this area feel... empty. Like a void. It was eerie, even for her. She stood there quietly, hearing his breathing as he moved closer to her. She sighed, knowing her mental state right now would be giving him much enjoyment. She wouldn't be surprised if her mental anguish was what drew him here... like a beacon. Nuriko is in mental torment. Lets go gloat.
She had no idea. As he stepped in front of her and began talking to her, she took a deep breath. She was unsure what to say at the moment. And his voice was slightly distracting. Though she heard what he was saying quite clearly. He didn't exactly have the kind of voice one could just ignore. He was trying to mock her, which was usual for him. She kept her face blank as he turned to her, which was getting harder and harder to do. But as she looked at him, his resemblance to Kaiden slightly cracked her calm, if only momentarily. She took a deep breath, the energy around her pulsing outwards, causing the dead spot around her to become a couple feet bigger. For a brief moment, her face fell, showing her anguish and suffering, before she straightened herself back up. She knew better than to show weakness in front of Nocturne. Never mind the fact that he always seemed particularly interested in what caused Nuriko mental pain and anguish. She smirked for a second, then looked around the circle she had closed herself off in.
"To what may I owe the pleasure of your visit? Come to gloat on my ever so noticable torment?" she chuckled sarcastically as she made the comment before looking back at him. She felt another pang of guilt and anguish as she looked at him, but she did better at keeping it checked that time.

Nocturne grinned at her question and at the sound of the dreary sarcasm. "Oh no... Not at all. We can all smell one another, you know this... I just followed the scent of Death. It rather stinks..." he said stepping closer to her, knowing his voice was getting to her. It was deep and darker than Kaidens, but, you can tell it was still originally his own. The boy stopped glaring into Nuriko's eyes, hoping she would see him. Then his smiled, upping the octave of his voice. The sound made his heart skip beats, as he knew it would be another nail in the metaphorical heart. He at that point sounded just like Kaiden.
"You poor thing, my one and only Nuriko... What happened to you? You were supposed to protect me. You were supposed to be there for me. Why did you trap me... Why did you leave me?!" he grinned and his eyes became feral, like he was seeing red. "MY DEAR NURI! WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME TO DIE?! WHY DID YOU?!" He moved face to face with her, inches from her. Smiling grimly, he placed his hands on her cheek and chuckled softly.
"Why couldn't you save me...?"

Nuriko listened to his comment about the smell, knowing he wasn't wrong, but was still being a dick about it. Though he was always particularly mentally abusive to her. He liked to play with her head. She knew this. But the sad part of this was he knew just where to hit her. She realized that when she turned to look at him and found herself looking at Kaiden. His smile made her heart ache. But not nearly as bad as when he called her by her name. And actually sounded like Kaiden. Nocturne had never called Nuriko by her name. She could no longer avoid looking at him as he got closer, his accusations hitting every sensitive spot she had developed since the first big fight with Nocturne. Because the words he was saying echoed his words in her nightmares...
But what bothered her most wasn't the fact that he touched her at all, but that underneath the grief, she liked it. She wondered just how far gone she had become to end up enjoying it. Or was she really that caught up over Kaiden that Nocturne touching her actually felt the same. But it wasn't. It was far deeper than that. Nocturne touching her and Kaiden's recent touchings were different. Nocturne effected her so because it was closer to how Kaiden was before he got locked up. While he was still the same kaiden, there was anger there. Hatred. And it showed in the small things. On top of when he would rant to her. She was reminded of when Kaiden and Nocturne were one. And sometimes, when you are mentally scarred like this, the subconscious as a hard time differentiating between similarities.
"You think I wanted to? A part of me died the night my mother made me lock you in there." she could no longer hold back the tears, but also couldn't move away either. She had been up against a tree, with nocturne in front of her holding her cheek. She looked defiantly into Nocturnes eyes as tears fell from them. "So if it's any comfort to you, you're biggest loss was also mine."

Nocturne shook in pure pleasure. He was overjoyed until he heard it, the sounds of a quiet pain. Not that of his own, but, something deeper. He looked away from her and sneered at her. He felt wrong, something was eating at him and he couldn't think of what it really was. Her words made him feel uneasy. His voice stayed high, like Kaiden's.
"You... never loved me nor I y-..." he said as something in him snapped. He felt it, it was no longer in his control. This was merely a game, until now. He stepped back and as he looked into her empty eyes, his vision became blurry. Unable to stand, he fell to his knees. "Gah...! YOU WITCH! WHAT ARE YOU DO-...!" he began as his skin turned pale. His hair began to grow long, and his face shifted slightly and he screamed. In his head visions flourished of the demise of Niharuka all those ages ago. Then the being towered over him. The massive beast, taller than any mountain on the planet. It looked down on him as it four arms rose to a parallel position. Its head, that of a skeletal Raven or mixture between with Vulture, stared down with hazed blue eyes. It cried and shrieked in pure horror. Nocturne looked at this beast and shook his head, "N-No! YOU AREN'T ME!" he shouted as the beast's arms came down like skyscrapers on a city street full of pedestrians.
Back in reality, Nocturne stood up. His face was now being coverd by half of a mask, one that resembled the beast. The man opened his visible eye, which was now black. He blinked at Nuriko, and turned away walking a few feet ahead and stopping. he turned to her an looked deep into her eyes. Saying to her telepathicly what she needed to here. His thoughts and voice was sharp, crisp, and that of a mysterious being.
'This world feels Darkness only because we allow it. STeady your emotions, then, stop me if you can... For War has his shell. This world will be balanced by only one method, War and Death...' he said in his head. Then, he vanished in a haze of black smoke and leaving no trace of ever being there. He left her alone. Just like before.

Nuriko felt a shift in Nocturne as his demeanor started changing. But the words he almost slipped out cut her deeper than any dagger anyone could have pulled on her, whether he finished the sentence or not. But she didn't have time to say anything. She could feel it. So familiar. She watched him blankly as he moved away from her. His voice was oh so familiar, she knew exactly what had happened. Whatever had corrupted Nocturne and Kaiden was gone. She half wondered what this meant for Kaiden, but thinking about him made her want to cry. Then he left. Quicker than he had come. And she was alone again.
Everything she had been holding in since Nocturne showed up all released at once. Nuriko screamed very loudly, and it sounded eerily like a very loud raven. Collapsing to her knees, waves of her energy pulsed off of her. Birds trying to fly away in the living area outside her circle were dropping from the sky. Trees withered in a matter of seconds. Grass died. The ground was dead. She sat there, curled in a ball in the center of a giant dead section of the deep forest, crying. She still wasn't 100% sure what she was going to do, nor how she was going to do it. She just knew that she wished she could just turn her feelings off and go about her life. But if there was anything she had learned over the millenia, it was that she was a very emotional woman. More-so than most others. She felt truely alone...

The tears fell from Sanya's eyes as she stared toward the woods. She could feel total and utter dread coming from there. Just slightly out of her view, she could see a huge chunk of the woods missing. She held her chest. Her heart hurt more than anything she had ever felt before. She looked forward and then back, darting out of the cave toward this place in the woods.
"I... I can... Feel her!"
---------------------------
Willow rose up, looking away from the spire of stone she had rested on. She was now being lead be another person. Someone more... Pure. At least to an extent. That was until she felt the shift. It hit hard, and she became dazed. She shook the feeling and darted toward the woods. She could feel it becoming a threat. Her new master wouldn't like it one bit.
"..."
----------------------------
Aniko felt the wave of dispair as it shocked outward. It caused her to drop the try full of drinks and sweets, causing a huge mess. The mmanager began to yell, however, his screams became muffled. She looked outside then ran out toward the woods. Something was clawing at her heart. Every inch of her was making her want to cry. But, all she could think about was that hole they put her in... and going back. Then, she remembered Nuriko, calming down slightly. She felt her, her pain.
"SISTER!"
-------------
Pest was sitting quietly watching over Hana as she read a book to her little brother. As the shockwave struck him he gasped, and his mask tightened. The pressure was out of control, causing him to choke on his own breath. Hana looked up and saw him and called to him.
"Pest?! Are you okay?!" she said watching him stand and eye the forest with sheer anger. He growled and took off screaming, causing Hana to take her little brother inside. She watched Pest jump toward the woods, then, she felt something wrong. Her heart, it began to beat slowly. Then, it stopped. She looked in horror at the woods, then, her heart began to pump as it should.
"MOTHER!" she said running after Pestilence, tears falling down. "IM COMING MOTHER! PLEASE HOLD ON!"
=========================================================================
The trio stood at the edge of this energy-based barrier and looked over it. Aniko touched it, jumping back in terror. "I-It's freezing in there!" she shrieked looking at the dirt inside. Ice was forming slightly near the edge of the barrier, but, no moister was in the air at that moment. Hana took a step further before being stopped by Pest.
"No. You stay here. We will find her and bring her back. You are t-..." he began, only for her to move his arm. "You are NOT leaving me here! My mom is in there and something is seriously wrong with her! I have to...!"
"Save her? Look kid, I know you are her daughter, but, this energy isn't normal. This isn't some energy Placid throws at you. This is diferent. What you are looking at is what we call..." he had begun to say as Sanya stepped forward, speaking aloud. But, it was a quote it sounded like.
"The subjects are no different than unstable power sources. If damaged it could cause damages that I, nor anyone, can even fathom. This being the case, I must say that all subject are to be trained to controll their emotions. Nothing must tap that field. If it is... Chaos is born. This is currently called a 'Virility Shift'."
It came off as the three turned to her. She looked past them at the energy, trying not to cry. "This was what happens when they... Try to feel." she said shaking her head. "You all are... Supposed to be robotic. He made you all, and tried to control you like puppets. Father... Why...?" she said tearing up. Pest became angry and darted into the energy filled base. He stood at the inner edge, seeing all the chaos and dead life that Nuriko was causing. It appeared to be spreading slowly. He ran, but, soon he became sluggish. Aniko darted after him and walked with him, slowly.
Hana shook her head and she ran inside after them. As she did she felt pure pain and torment. All she could hear was the sound of... crying. The pain became unbearable and she screamed as the energy began to tear at her body. Then her eyes snapped to Aniko and Pest who began to run to her aid. She placed her hand up.
"NO! STOP! I CAN... I CAN DO THIS!" she screamed as Pest looked on in fear. "IF YOU CONTINUE YOU WILL DIE BY YOUR OWN MOTHERS HANDS! PLEASE GET OUT!" he shouted as Hana looked into the air and screamed. Thus, her eyes going black.
She regained her sight and saw Aniko and Pest standing in front of her. But, lower than her. She looked at her body to see she had unlocked something beautiful. Then 'it' took over, forcing her into the passenger seat of her own body. It walked past Pest and Aniko, and Pest grabbed its arm. "Hana...?" he said as his mask clicked furiously. It stopped and turned its head toward him and then its mask glew a vibrant pink. It knocked him off gently and walked to the center of the energy. Its source. Aniko caught up to see Nuriko laying there, still. She went to grab her to be stopped by this being. It kneeled next to Nuriko, and placed its hand on her face gently. The glow, felt warm to Aniko and Pest. Then, the energy became less severe. Now, it was almost manageable. As it became clearer, Pest looked at the being and gave it a look of worry. "Who are you...?" he asked. The being stood up and turned to him. Drawing a blade and shield out of thin air.
"My name... is Intention. Leave this place or die by my hand."

Nuriko had been lying on the ground, curled up in the fetal position. She cried silently, shaking her head. Feeling people around her, she suddenly jumped up, moving away from the group. She was still crying, and could barely manage to stay standing on her own.
"N..n..no. Don't come near m...me." she stammered, still sobbing heavily. "Y..you don't understand." she looked at her brother and sister. "I left him to d..die. HE'LL N...NEVER FORGIVE ME!!!!" she screamed, another burst of energy pushing outward from her, much stronger than the last, blasting everyone back away from her and pushing across the island.
-----------------
Mihari was sitting in the living room of Nuriko's house with Placid, Lillith, Kazuma, and Tori. She felt bad, Tori had been worrying sick since the sudden disappearance of Nuriko a couple days back. She stood up, moving to cross the room to get a drink when the wave of energy hit her. It knocked her off her feet, throwing her a few feet across the room, and causing her to hit the wall on her side, falling to the ground, only to stand herself stubbornly back up and look around as if nothing had happened. She looked at lillith, who had appeared to feel the same thing.
"Nuriko..." she said, then they both got up and took off out the door toward the forest where the blast originated.

At that moment, Intention was struck harder than the others sending her farther than Pest and Aniko. The immense energy shook her and caused her to deform into Hana's 'Spiral Queen' alias. Pest sat up and looked at Nuriko and Aniko sat up, tears in her eyes. At that moment Sanya had reached the center nearby, hearing what Nuriko had said she watched in fear. At that point Pest stood up, looking her right in the eyes.
"What are you talking about sister?!"
----------------------------------------
The group had collected nearby the energy barrier. At this point, the barrier was now violent, almost as if there was a barrier of wind there in its place. The group was far from it, feeling the torture of the soul that was causing this pain. Then Placid felt the sense of something moving toward them. He quickly grabbed Tori and knocked him aside as a huge red being flew into the earth. When Placid saw it, it happened to be Willow. But, it was destroyed into different parts, but, by hand. He turned to see the man standing behind them looking at them without fear in his eyes.
"Take back this... thing. It claims to be a clone. Its an insult..." and with it he eyed Placid and vanished as quickly as he appeared.
Tori watched him, then looked deep into his eyes. He recognized that set of eyes. But, they forced him to the energy, but, instinct took over. He rushed toward the barrier only to get struck back and thrown against a dead tree. Placid looked at this area and grunted hard at the barrier.
"Whats going on...?"
--------------------------
Kaiden was walking along the beach with Pandora when the shockwave struck. It made them lose balance slightly and he could feel a huge feeling of dread and depression. But, as soon as he turned to its source he could feel a sense pureness within him. He felt his chest, and noticed his pain had vanished. The taste of sludge was gone and now...
He thought to himself as he looked at Pandora, he looked at her worried and then took off toward the woods. "We need to go! NOW!"

Lillith had never really shed a tear in her life. But the amount of mental anguish and sadness she was feeling caused her to break into tears.
"So much sadness... so much pain. She is crying..." Lillith stammered, looking around at the group around her. Mihari seemed to feel it as well, but not as strongly. Mihari looked sadly at the energy. "It's almost a good thing we can't touch it. I'm nearly certain to enter it would be a death sentence."
---------------------
Pandora had felt the overwhelming sense of sadness from her best friend. The connection the three felt allowed her to sense that much. "Nuriko..." she said sadly, looking at Kaiden before urging him forward. "I will catch up with you later. I don't know if this is bad or good, but I think she may need you in the end..."
---------------------
Nuriko calmed enough to be understood while crying. It allowed the storm around her to calm just a little. "H...he said... He never... l..loved me. Or at least he tried to. But I think... she raised her face and looked toward her brother and sister. "War finally beat the corruption. He's back..."

Tori watched as the pain flew like a whirlwind. As Kaiden ran up Tori turn looking him in the eyes and he saw it again. That same view, the same as that man.
"KAIDEN!" he shouted running toward him. Kaiden looked at Tori and Tori grabbed him and threw him into the whirlwind. That instance, he could feel Nuriko tearing away at him. This signaled Parshath to become the main body, and it looked around in a daze. 'Sorry to just drop you into the outside without warning Parshath but its kinda nasty out here for me...' he said inside his head and the being shrugged walking toward the center to see Nuriko.
"..."
---------------------------
Placid looked at the barrier as Tori had thrown Kaiden through it. PLacid watch Kaiden go through without any trouble. Kazuma smiled, "It opened! How'd you know he would go through dad?" he said looking back at his father who looked pissed. Tori looked at the barrier and scoffed, "I didn't." he said walking toward it. Placid sighed, "You feel it don't you Tori?" he said feeling guilty about what he felt. Tori shut his eyes, and sighed.
"NURIKO! WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! ALL OF US!"
----------------------------------------------
"What the hell was that?!" Diabound said as the cavern shifted roughly. He looked at Adrianne, then the entrance. "Stay here with Khirai! I know that... Dammit!" he said looking around the cavern for a notebook he had written his notes from the past on. He looked toward Sanya's cot to see it tucked under her sheets, on a specific page. He grabbed it to read the words on it.
"...Only those with the subjects ability line can enter the subjects custom field. Fields will vary from subject to subject. However, those who share the Harbringer-class can enter as long as said subject enters its forme. Project Horsemen seem to be the only exception to this rule however..." he said reading it closely. He threw the book down and ran for the entrance, then, down to the woods.
"Dammit, Sanya! NO!"

Nuriko stood there silently, still crying. She looked between her brother and sister. Then her eyes fell on Parshath. Her mind connected the dots.
Kaiden.
Nuriko's eyes widened, her heart racing as the atmosphere around her took a sudden turn for the worse. She looked fearful, still crying, shaking her head. "No... no... no no no... I can't do this right now. It took me millenia to get myself to a point where I could control it. Why him, why now?" she sobbed uncontrollingly, collapsing onto her knees. She lowered her head, her black hair hiding the terror on her face. "He'll never forgive me for leaving him there... NEVER! He..." her voice fell," He never loved m..." she fell short. She couldn't bring herself to finish the sentance, because she didn't want to believe it. She made an attempt to stand up, and it took a couple minutes, but she managed to bring herself to mostly a stand, though she wasn't sure how long she would stay standing if she tried moving. She knew he was still there, but she didn't know why.
"I can't..." then she gazed at Sanya. The fact that she was standing there watching her made her curious. But she was too distracted by the other person there. She gazed back at Parshath, who was housing Thanatos. Seeing Parshath just seemed to make her guilt worse, as it was a reminder that she was supposed to be in a committed relationship with a man who she has 3 children with. But at the moment, she couldn't bring herself to think about it. Just him. And she hated it....

Parshath stopped. He felt something raw in the air. As he swiftly turned to block Nocturne comeing down on him with his foot. The man looked at Parshath and sighed. "You are disgusting. How bland and lifeless you look. Like an old dusty machine... Tch..." he said kicking Parshath in the head. sending him back into a ready stance. The man looked at Nuriko who was having a mental breakdown then to Sanya. He walked over to her and looked her straight in the eyes.
"You're name. What is it?" he asked as she tried pulling away. As she began to tear up roots surrounded Nocturne and then grasped him tightly. The being behind Sanya was Pestilence, in its fullest form. It slurped as it rose over her and pushed her aside to Aniko's protection. Nectar fell from its head as it moved in close to Nocturne.
"You... *schhhick* stink." Pest said as Nocturne returned with a blank look. "I stink? You have to be joking..." he said vanishing into thin air. he reappeared behind him and smacked him as a parent on a childs bottom, though, it sent him flying toward the sky. Aniko looked at Nocturne with fear, but, pride.
"Y-You won't hurt her! I won't let you!" she said keeping Sanya behind her. Nocturne turned to her, and gave her a blank stare.
"I have no intention on hurting anyone sister. If you want to let the big guy out, let him. Although, once that 'thing' comes out, I will ensure I will refuse to listen to you bawl over how hideous you are..." he said looking away.
"Why... What happened?! How did you...?" she said looking worried.
"How did I come back? It was Nuriko who saved me. That demon was infecting my host. I managed to gain enough moral to finally push my way out and clean him from my hosts soul. That's it." he said sighing. "Kaiden and I can finally be together again as it was before."
"Its never that easy. Never has been with you..."
"Quite. But, I wouldn't want to spoil anything..." he said looking at Nuriko and walking toward her. He walked up to her and his brow touched hers.
'Listen to me. You are the only person who can help me. I want only one thing. I only want Death. Death is what I want, I want her sweet embrace. But, I must have Balance... Please do not see me as a enemy...' he said to her. He looked to Aniko and smiled, "Stay beautiful sister... and you there. Behind her..." he said leering at Sanya. He began to vanish again and he spoke making Sanya's heart stop.
"You are my next target. Nobody will replace Her embrace..."

Nuriko stood there frozen in her spot, watching him walk around talking to everyone as calm as possible. Then he turned to look at her and walked toward her. Her eyes followed him, her breath catching in her chest as his eyebrows touched hers. His words caused her face to flush, but she also calmed considerably. As he went to walk away, she quietly whispered... 'I could never fight you...' she watched him, almost sadly as he dissipated. She felt bad for Sanya, who seemed scared beyond all measure. She took a few steps forward, surprised at the amount of clarity she was thinking with at the moment. While still confused about her feelings, he had managed to calm the storm, as it were. She sighed, realizing just how much power he had over her was rather scary.
She walked forward a little, gazing at Parshath, a slightly pained look still on her face, but not nearly as bad. Then she turned and looked at Sanya again.
"Are you ok?"
