When Nuriko spoke to her she jumped. "I-I... What did he mean by next target?!" she said looking around as the barrier began to fade. She looked toward where she had entered to see Diabound looking at her rather upset. She looked at the ground nearby to see Willow, shattered to bits. Her eyes grew and tears rolled down her face.
"W-What...?! Sister!?" she said running toward her father's side. The being laid motionless in its pile of shambles. Sanya began to shed tears more and more with every second that passed. Seeing her sister in bits and hearing what she heard made her burst into tears. Diabound looked at Parshath who had begun to reform into Kaiden. The boy looked at Willows pieces and sighed, "Is she...?" he began and Diabound shook his head. "You can't get rid of her like this. Just... prolonges her from being able to do anything for awhile." he said looking at her. Sanya looked up at him and went into his arms.
"H-He... said I was next..." she said holding back tears. Placid looked at her then looked off into the distance to see him standing above them. Watching. Placid looked at him and leered at him, 'I know you can hear me... You lay a hand on her and I will ensure you die swiftly.' he read to Nocturne.
He replied with a cocky smile and vanished once more, whispering mostly to himself.
"I am hoping for it... Brother."
Tori looked at Placid then the air, not seeing anything he nudged him and the two of them began to help lug Willow's peices back together at Diabounds unheard orders. Once they became close to one another, the stones connected and formed. But, instead of creating the golem that had attacked them, it was her normal self. Pissed off looking as usual. She sat in the dead grass, her legs folded. Her face was bright red, and she refused to look Tori and Placid, or anyone, in their faces.
"..."
Tori stood up and sighed leaving Placid with his deranged sister. Sanya joined him and sat with her. As she did she bumped into her and a glimmer fell from her face. Tears. Sanya looked at her sister and realized she was crying. For the first time in her entire life, Willow had a look of complete agony and fear on her face.
"H-He... Killed.... Me..." she said shaking and holding her sisters hand tightly. Willow replayed the memories of being carved into pieces. Feeling the pain of him taking her apart with his bare hands like she was nothing but a piece of old lumber. She looked up at her Father and he watched as both of his girls were scared, but, he was helpless to them. Just another person that can't protect them.
"F-Father... Why is he... trying to hurt us?" Sanya said. He looked down at them and then to Nuriko. He looked into her eyes knowing he told her something. "He for whatever reason sees you as a threat. Enough to do that to you Willow..." he stared at Nuriko with hope she could explain why he is hunting them. Everyone turned to Nuriko, lastly. Kaiden who stood next to her, nudging her.
"Hey Nuri... What did he say to you...?"

Nuriko watched everyone silently, still feeling flushed. She dodged people, avoiding touching anyone if at all possible. Then she stood there quietly, not sure what to do. She kept repeating what he had said in her head, and he mind was in multiple different places at once. Though she did feel that he was still in the area. She could feel him watching them. A ghost of a grin flickered for a second over her face before she stepped back another few steps and began dazing out again. It wasn't until she was nudged by Kaiden and she freaked out a little that she realized everyone was staring at her. Then she heard Kaidens question. She sighed, then moved herself a couple steps away from Kaiden.
She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She reached out into the air as if grabbing something only she could see. As she pulled it closer to her, her scythe materialized out of thin air. Also her clothes seemed to instantaneously change, but not to what they normally did when she donned her scythe. Her tattered dress was longer, and the black cloth that usually only wrapped her hands now went up her arms entirely. She felt... calmer. And it seemed like her abilities were under control slightly better this way. Her eyes retained their shimmering silver color, though they seemed a bit misted over.
"He..." she sighed, knowing what he said but afraid of repeating it. There was only one possible meaning behind his words that made any sense coming from him, but at the same time, she didn't understand that either. She sighed. "It's a challenge. Yet at the same time, it is a call for help. He is calling to me..." she closed her eyes, standing there calmly as if she could hear him. "Because I am the only person that can give him what he truely desires..." her expression became sad. Then she turned and looked at the twins, then gazed at Placid and Diabound.
"Threat is the wrong word. Maybe a threat to everyone else, if you think about it. But to him, they are more of an abomination. They were created as replacements for Nocturne and I. He feels insulted."
She sighed, turning around to walk away. She felt so distant from everyone, and yet, felt crowded. She walked by Tori, kissing his cheek softly before walking away from the group. She stopped briefly, turning to look at Kaiden. She gazed at him, her eyes meeting with his. Without saying anything, she urged him to come find her when he had a chance. Then she turned and left the area. She was finding it increasingly difficult to be around large amounts of people. She found herself standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Not the same cliff she usually frequented, but another on the opposite side of the island. She stood on the edge, gazing at the moon reflecting off the ocean. The sky was clear. Since settling into her new eyesight, she realized that at night was the only time she could see 'normally'. Otherwise her eyesight was failing rather slowly. She sighed, thinking about everything that had happened that day.

Kaiden stepped away with her and once everyone was out of earshot and view he stopped walking with her and watched her silently. After the waves broke him of his trance, he sighed. "Nuri, I... What happened? Is Nocturne after you? Look, you don't have to worry. Everyone is going to protect you, Sanya, and Willow. Nobody is going to die today. But, what did you mean when he said a call for help?" he said as grey clouds came in from the ocean. The breeze became a bit stronger, but, bearable. He stood there in silence, hoping at any moment she would answer him. Kaiden finally spoke again after minutes of waiting. He sat there then turned to see him standing there in the distance not far from them. Nocturne turned to Nuriko and then to Kaiden.
"Your soul is clean now. You knew what had happened before you saw me didn't you Kaiden?" he said walking toward the two. Kaiden nodded, eyeing him. Unsure what he was to them, friend or foe. Nocturne smirked and shook his head, "Stand down boy. I am not here to harm you or her. I came here to speak with you personally." he said, hands inside his coat pockets. Kaiden gulped and turned to Nuriko then back to Nocturne.
"I wanted to say that my performance over the last thousands of years have been very disappointing. I failed you as you Harbringer. I failed to protect you, and for that I am truly sorry." he said lowering his head and sighing. Kaiden felt strange, the being that was dead set to control the whole world and kill everyone is now apologizing for his actions. "Is it really you Nocturne?" he said stepping forward, Nocturne nodded.
"In the flesh. Well, with some help..." he said holding out his hand to create a ball of light. The light emoted a holy sound, some of which sounded like Kaiden as a child. Kaiden gazed at it, getting lost. He could hear something. Something only meant for him to hear. "That's... my... Other half isn't it?" he said looking at Nocturne. He nodded, causing the light to fade back inside his body. "It is. It is what is allowing my to be here and talking with you. I would give it back, but, I require it until my request is filled..." he said looking at Nuriko, "That is my promise to you..."
He turned around and began to fade once more and he turned to Kaiden, "Keep her happy would you? You seem to have that effect on her..."

Nuriko blinked, then looked frustrated.
"You think I'm happy? I'm beyond miserable, if you haven't noticed! I spent my entire life after you were locked up convincing my heart that it was NEVER going to happen!!! And My mother undid all that work in one day! I don't think I can do this again! I am supposed to be in a relationship and all I can think about since I came back is a man I can never have! And you think I'm happy?"
Nuriko jumped forward, yelling into the breeze.
"Speaking of your request... Damn it! Why? Why would you ask that of me! I can't do this! You know how I am! I can't..."
Nuriko collapsed at the edge of the cliff, dropping her scythe at her side as she clenched her fists, and cried as it started to rain.

Kaiden runs to her side and stands there, unsure what he can really do. "Nuri... Please..." he said kneeling next to her. "I need to know what is going on. What do you mean by what you said? What do you mean by 'all I can think about since I came back is a man I can never have! And you think I'm happy'? You need to talk to me!" he said holding onto her closely.
"Nuriko, you are strong. You can tell me what is wrong. Please..."

Nuriko fell quiet. "I would have thought that sounded pretty obvious..." She looked at Kaiden, her face full of guilt and grief, but her eyes shined with the same love that Kaiden saw millenia ago. "The memory block my mother did on me. That whole day actually... it did alot more than just leave me partially blind. I spent my entire life since you were locked up convincing myself that you and I were never going to happen again. When I woke up after I got my memory back, I still had the memories from during the day that we were together. And all the work I had put into coping with losing you was gone. I started having nightmares... nightmares about you. Thats why I left. My emotional fluxes were starting to cause things around me to shrivel up and die. So I left. I didn't want to hurt anybody, so I went into hiding."
Nuriko stopped talking for a minute, taking a deep breath.
"I was the woods when nocturne found me. He found me broken, and tormented me further. He knew exactly what to say to cause the most emotional pain. He blamed me for you being locked up all those years. Said I left you there, that I left you there to die. I told him a part of me died that night when my mother forced me to lock you up. And that his biggest loss was also mine. That seemed to trigger the awakening. The real nocturne had managed to get the strength to free himself from something I said." She gazed into Kaidens eyes, then turned away from him. "It hurts, Kaiden. That day I spent with you, the cuddling, the touches, kisses, everything, I never wanted it to end. And sooner or later I will get over it again. But you have a life of your own now, and I refuse to ruin it due to my own selfishness."

Kaiden grabbed Nuriko with massive force and held onto her tightly. "Listen to me and never forget this...!" he said tearing up. "What you locked up wasn't me. What that being said to you wasn't Nocturne. What you see here is who I really am. What Nocturne is now, is who we truly are. Do not think for a second that we ever stopped caring about you! We got locked up over that parasite. It was your mothers decision to hurt you further by locking up what looked like me away. You never hurt me Nuriko! If anything you saved me and millions by putting me there! I never forgot those final moments. I lost you because of a mistake I made that turned against me.: he said there unable to hold tears back any longer. "Dammit, I never stopped loving you either. But, things changed that day for us. I will NEVER blame you for what happened that day and neither does Nocturne. What he wants..." Kaiden stopped and sighed out what sounded and felt like a sob. He breathed in and smiled.
"All he wants is peace. For him, for us, for the existence of all men and women on this planet and in the heavens above. That's what my other half told me. All Nocturne wants is... Death."

Nuriko nodded solemnly. "You are the only person who can help me. I want only one thing. I only want Death. Death is what I want, I want her sweet embrace." She looked sad, lost. "That was what he said to me." she closed her eyes, resting her forehead on Kaidens chest. "I was the oldest of four. Death. Everyone leaves their own mark on the world. War, Pestilence, Famine... And I am always there in the end. I followed them all. I looked over them. At least for Pestilence and Famine, I was the older sister. People fail to realize that while we were created as a weapon, we also worked as a balance. Watching over the world all these years, I learned what happens when the balance is tipped. Maybe I am just the one true neutral form in existence. But I see the good and bad in them all. It's not pretty, but its necessary. Because without, things don't look to pretty either."
Nuriko sighed. "I'm just blathering now, I suppose it doesn't really matter. I know I'm not going to change anyones mind. I just... don't know if I can kill him. I don't know if I can bring myself to do it..."

Tori was watching from far behind and listened close. He walked over toward them and sat next to them. "You won't change his mind Nuriko. You should know that. He doesn't want to be here, he wants to be set free. I know more than him who thinks it." he said turning to her then looking away. "You can't act like you are traveling this path alone though. I mean... look..." he said turning around, then pointing behind them. There, stood their friends, their family, and even those who once were enemies. They looked at her all with smiles, Sanya stumbled forward and kneeled next to Nuriko and she took her hand. Willow then came and sat next to her, tears in her eyes. Placid walked forward, leaned against a nearby tree. Kazuma sat next to his father. Pest and Aniko help Hana walk near and do the same.
Diabound walked forward and sat with his girls. Looking at them both and then at Nuriko.
"Tsukina, Nuriko. Project Horsemen Subject: Death. One of four amazing children to gain abilities that would change life as we know it." he said smiling sadly. Placid smiled for once, speaking softly, he said something he knew she would understand.
"Nos qui vivimus... Una simus... Semper nos..."

Nuriko chuckled, tears in her eyes. "Silly. It makes more sense if you say 'Nos, qui vivimus, semper simul.' Much less we's and it sounds better." She shook her head, looking around at the group of people surrounding her. "Sorry guys. I guess after being alone for so long, it just takes some getting used to." She looked over to see Pandora and Adrianne, who was walking with Khirai. Khirai ran to her dad while Adrianne and Pandora walked forward to join the group of people. Nuriko smiled. "Well, considering all the things I have done alone in my life, I think I can handle this." Nuriko stood up, holding her scythe. She stepped forward a few feet, then bowed her head, closing her eyes as tears fell down her cheeks. She took a deep breath.
"Alright. I'll do it."

Days had passed since Nuriko's decision. The Liwa family decided to take a break at the beach. Akira was running around in the sand as Hana watched over him while reading. Kazuma laid in the sun soaking in the sun as Tori watched deep into the horizon, sitting there focusing on his thoughts. Watching the water helped him think. Often times he did that, even bringing people with him didn't even move him. He sat there and shut his eyes and sighed. He looked behind him at Nuriko and smiled.
"Relaxing for once. It feels good... doesn't it?" he chuckled sitting next to her and holding her hand. "So, now that everything seems to be slowing down, I wanted to have a night just for you. A perfect evening of... Whatever I can think of to make you happy." he said kissing her cheek Akira giggled and ran to his mother and sat next to her and huggled her. Tori looked at him and smiled, shaking the little ones hair. He then turned to Nuriko and smiled.
"How does that sound?"

Nuriko spent the next few days after her big decision working on getting her aura and emotions under control. After about a day she was feeling much less weepy, but still very guilty. By the end of day two, she was still a bit sad, and still alot guilty, but the tears were at a minimum. Not a day or two after, The Liwa family decided to take a trip to the beach. It being daytime, Nuriko was quite blind. But it didn't stop her from enjoying the calmness of the breeze and the sounds of the ocean. If she chose to, she could tell were everything was by auras, but it took more concentration than she was really willing to do at the moment. Her mind often fell on Nocturne, wondering what he was doing. Her mind would wander, but she usually tried keeping herself from thinking about too much emotional stuff, for the safety of those around her.
Tori's question drew her attention from the waves to his voice. He had moved to sit next to her and kissed her cheek. She smiled softly, wrapping her arm around Akira as he hugged her.
"That sounds wonderful! We haven't been able to do anything just us two in a while." she smiled a little, moving closer to Tori and resting her head on his chest.

Tori smiled and looked down at Akira. "Hey buddy, how would you like to pester your sister tonight hm?" he said chuckling, Akira laughed and nodded and Hana looked over and groaned. "If you destroy anymore of my books this time I am going to make sure Kazuma takes care of you!" she said smiling and winking at her brother. Kazuma laughed, "You care more about your books than your own brother. Typical Bookworm." he chuckled as she threw her book at him. She stood up and took Akira's hand and led him to the water.
"C'mon you, lets go swimming!" she said as they played around. Tori smiled, "Shes beautiful you know that right?" he said looking at Nuriko. "She looks like her mother, sings amazingly like her mother... Even has some of her mothers habits. Then there is Kazuma..." he said making the last part sounding terrible. As a joke of course. Kazuma sat up and grinned.
"Trust me, I am the most perfect guy on this island. Hands down." he said smirking. Tori chuckled, "Yeah, and where do you think you got that from hm?" he said smiling. Kazuma laughed and pointed at Nuriko. "Face it, you ain't got anything on Mom. Cooler than you ANY day! Haha!" he said as Tori stood up ready to chase after him, thus, causing Kazuma to take off running.
After a moment of Nuriko being alone. Footsteps in the sand rustled. From behind Sanya came and sat next to her. However it wasn't normal beach attire. She cleared her throat nervously, unsure how to phrase what she wanted to say. She turned to Nuriko and smiled sadly.
"Nuriko, er... Mrs. Liwa... I... Oh man..." she said blushing. "I just wanted to say that I think you a great person and I... Want to be like you. You are one of the greatest inspirations..." she said sighing. Her face turned bright red and she began to get up.
"I-I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable! I will go now! I am sorry...!"

Nuriko chuckled a little as she listened to Tori and Kazuma argue, then start chasing eachother around. She smiled, sitting alone for a brief moment. Then she heard someone come up behind her before she heard the sound of someone clearing their throat behind her. She was surprised to hear the voice of Sanya talking to her. She listened to her, smiling brightly as she listened. She chuckled a little toward the end. "No, you are fine. I actually feel pretty honored that you came out here to visit me. Ya know, you've changed alot since the first time I saw you. And you didn't make me uncomfortable at all." She smiled, Turning her face to look toward Sanya, even if she couldnt see.
"Ya know, I've been around for a VERY long time. Your mom and dad were like a second family to me. And while your father was a bit... err... obsessive at the time, I always preferred spending time with them then my own family. I told your father once, my life may not have been easy in the very least, but I still thank him to this day for me turning out the way I did. Mind you at the time he was highly irritated about me being with your older brother. But he never really got too bossy about it." she giggled a little. "Look at me, I blabber like an old person." Nuriko laughed.
"Either way, If you ever want to come see me, you are welcome." she smiled at Sanya. Then nodded to her. "Be sure to tell your mom and dad I said hi when you get back."

Sanya smiled at her words and stood up. "Thank you Nuriko. I will make sure to let them know." she said walking away before looking up and seeing Willow standing nearby. She looked slightly irritated and her face was red. But, she had on a beach dress. Sanya smiled and Willow steeped forward. "Sister... I... Do I have to wear..." she began and Sanya sighed, "A swimsuit? Yes. You do, don't worry you look fine..." she said as Willow scoffed. The girl sat next to Nuriko, realizing she was blind so she didn't have to worry about her seeing her swimsuit.
"Uhm, by the way I... I think you are a great person... and... Grr..." she sighed in a irritated, "Sincerity makes me nauseous..." she said as her face turned red. She looked at Hana, then to Nuriko, then back at her sister. They all had something about them that made her uncomfortable. She didn't know what it was but, it made her blush and kinda bothered.
"Anyways... I just wanna say thanks... For... Ya know..." she said as her sister sat next to her. "Willow... Go get in the water. C'mon... We didn't go buy that for you not to..." she said nudging her slightly. Willow became red again. "S-Shut up! I will go when I am ready..." Willow said, face red as an apple. Sanya smiled and turned away trying not to giggle.
"I-I... I don't feel like doing it right now..." she said looking down at her body. "Just let me sit here okay? Im not hurting anyone... I hope..."
