Nuriko liked coming to the rooftop of the school sometimes after school. Especially on nice days, when the sky was clear and there was a slight breeze. It was there that she found she could think most clearly. She would sit on the edge of the roof, the wind blowing in her hair, and watch the students running around below her. It was calming, and she loved calm. Occasionally students would come up to the roof, but very few of them ever payed much attention to her at all. Except for the occasional visit from Rei, who as of right now, was the only person who she knew knew about her hiding spot on the roof. Her brother knew most of her hiding spots, and often came to visit her and make sure she wasn't driving herself mad. Though today, she had a lot to think about. Everything had happened so quickly lately. After the fight at the lake, Nuriko was afraid to show her face for a while. For a few days, she locked herself in her house, not going to school, until her brother came home from one of his 'lost' periods, and snapped her out of her stupor. Her cheek still hurt a little from that, but she knew it had to be done. She couldn't sit around moping forever. So she got back to school and made up all of her homework, got everything caught up, and went to go sit on the roof. She was slightly afraid of pushing herself, as she could feel the moons phases shifting. The closer to a new moon it got, the weaker she got. Her eyes lost their shine, she felt sick, stretched. But it hadn't gotten quite to that point yet. But soon. She sighed, half surprised her brother hadn't came to visit her, and grinned to herself a little as she looked down into the school courtyard.

Kibiko, whom was leaning against the outer brick wall, was looking at the sky. Her brothers used to tell her stories about the stars and how each star stands for a person who has yet to be born. She figures they were just giving her happy thoughts. But, she always felt they were true stories. Her brother, Atticus, died at the age of 8; he was hit by a drunk driver in front of her and the home they had at the inner part of the city. Her eldest brother Shun moved to Australia at the age of 14. He wanted to learn the ways of Animal Medicine and thought a foreign atmosphere would help him a lot. He seldom calls her, but when he does she always asks about what animals he has helped. His stories always warmed her heart and kept her sane.
She smiled at the sky then looked down a bit to see Nuriko sitting up on the roofs ledge. She remembered what happened at the Lake a week ago, she didn't think anything she saw was real. But, after it all happened she had a feeling that she wasn't crazy. She then sighed a bit, she always felt that something was different about her new friends. When she was near Tori she felt so calm and collected. When she was around Placid she felt strong and somehow cautious.
She removed herself from the wall and headed inside the School. She knew the roof wasnt a popular hangout. So not very many people would be there to bother her. Once she reached the top she watched Nuriko for a bit. She hadn't the slightest clue what to say to her. How could she? She had flown with a girl whom had wings. There wasn't really anything that could come to mind.
She walked forward and sat next to Nuri and looked at the sky. "My brothers always said that the sky was a way of showing us our true beauty. They always told me stories of how the stars represented people who haven't been born yet..." she closed her eyes and took a deep breath and sighed, "Silly I know but..."

Nuriko closed her eyes, feeling slightly awkward when she heard Kibiko come up behind her. She couldn't help but wonder how the girl felt about being around her now that she knew Nuriko wasn't 'normal.' She thought about it for a few minutes. If someone had told her 2 weeks ago that she would be upset about the idea of Kibiko not liking her, she would have thought they were either crazy or blind. But of course, just after getting to finally get along with her some, all that happened, and she ended up blowing her secret in an attempt to save Kibiko's life.
When Kibiko sat down next to her, she looked over at her, her eyes looking slightly sad. She didn't really know what to say to her, but she listened to what Kibiko said. Then she looked up at the sky again.
"Yeah, It's a common story... " she looked back out over the area.

Kibiko looked at her in confusion. "Common story?" she asked with uncertainty, "My brothers never mentioned they heard it anywhere. I figured they made it up."
She put her arm around Nuriko and hugged her. She didn't know what exactly to say but she felt a bit of physical emotion would mean something. After a few seconds she let go and found a few words she hoped meant something.
"Nuri, thank you for what you did. I hope you don't think you frightened me or anything." she said it with a slight giggle and looked at the yard below them and smiled at a small group of familiar faces down there. Tori and Placid were talking to one another. She noticed Tori's face wasn't in a happy state.
"Why didn't you tell anyone about this?" Tori said giving Placid a look of betrayal. Placid looked down and spoke. "I didn't want to harm anyone, my intensions are not of impure nature. I can assure you of that."
"I don't believe you, I have a ton of doubts about this whole thing. That demon called you MASTER!"
"No! It isn't like that Liwa! Its not me they were reffering to!"
"Oh yeah? Then who? Your invisible friends?!"
"No... you see I am not just one being, my soul is shaped into two halves. The part you see here is of the purest of Light. The other..." He said it as he cringed. He didn't want to think about Nocturne, he has already caused him enough pain as it is. Tori looked at him and huffed a sigh of disbelief, he looked at Placid's face. Tori's attitude changed quickly and his face grew sympathetic. "You aren't lying..." he said watching Placid's eyes turn grey. Placid looked at him and just gave him a saddened face. "I am sorry that I caused you doubt. I don't want to hurt anyone because of him. But, like you said I am a time bomb..." he started to walk off toward the falls, but stopped a yard away and spoke with his back turned toward Tori.
"My real name is Placid by the way..." and he continued off, unaware that Tori was looking at him. Tori felt bad. He didn't know what Placid was going through. 'Placid...' he thought as he sighed, 'That means... Calm. How fitting.'

Nuriko shook her head. "Oh no, I didn't mean that they had heard it before. Just that others similar minded had come up with the same idea." She said smiling as she noticed Kibiko hug her. She hugged her back briefly, still smiling. "Well, you seemed pretty scared that night so its understandable why I would think that. Plus that's the usual reaction when someone finds out what I am. " she smiled a little sadly, then glanced down at the group on the ground. They seemed to be arguing. She frowned a little, looking curiously at them.

Kibiko smiled and waved her hand back and forth, "Well, it was because I never flew outside out anything withough engines and mechanical wings!" she said it winking at Nuri. Before to long she noticed Placid walking away and Tori standing alone. "I bet that didn't go well..."
Tori stood there thinking about what he said. 'A time bombe... What a stupid thing of me to say...' he thought to himself. He sat there feeling the small breeze flow through his hair, he sighed as he leaned against the wall Kibiko once leaned. He sat there looking up at the sky and before he knew it he heard footsteps coming from the entrance path. He turned to see a young woman. He watched as she walked past him into the school. Her clothes were professional dress and her hair was long and dark brown. She wore black glasses to compliment the style and she headed up a flight of stairs to the Chancellors office. 'A new teacher? Intresting...' Tori thought to himself following her up the stairs.
"Excuse me, ma'am?" he called out to her. The woman stopped and turned, "Oh my! I could use some help! I am looking for the Chancellors office, am I anywhere near that?" she asked blushing. Tori nodded and led her down a hall riddled with trophies of the sports teams victories and other countless endeavors until reaching the door at the end. Tori opened the door and held out his arm like a gentleman, the woman thanked him as she entered. "Ah!" said the man inside. He was large, about 40 or 50 years of age and had a beard no longer than an inch, he was also bald. "You must be Miss Kayanw Kazuma! How much of a pleasure it is to have you as the replacement!" he said welcoming her inside. "I see you have met one of Mr. Hans best students already! Mr. Liwa please come in and meet your new homeroom teacher!"
Tori nodded and smiled bowing a little and shaking her hand, "It is a pleasure, we all found it odd how Mr. Han just stopped showing up to class. but, now I suppose we can all get back on track. It was a pleasure to meet you Miss Kazuma." She smiled and bowed herself and patted his shoulder. "My my, you are such a gentleman! It would be an honor to teach such a pleasant young man!" she said smiling and blushing a bit.
Kibiko watched as Tori followed the woman, "Where's he going...?" she looked around and then got up. "C'mon! Let's go see what Tori is up to!" and she ran down the stairs to the second floor which at that time she saw Tori walking out of the Chancellors office. She walked over as he shut the door and ran up to him. "So, who was she? Is she a new teacher?" she asked extremely curious. She heard walking from the staircase, she assumed it was Nuriko and kept listening.
"Yeah, she is Mr. Hans replacement." Tori said stretching and taking a few steps forward. Kibiko smiled and noticed the door opening. Once it opened the Woman came out and greeted Tori, "Ah, Mr. Liwa you can't stay away can you?" she said laughing as she closed the door. Tori blushed a little as she walked over and noticed Kibiko next to him. "Oh, and who is this? your girlfriend?" she asked playfully, Kibiko laughed and shook her head, "Nope, just a good friend! So, you are Mr. Hans replacement right? I am Kibiko Imimura, I also attend you calss, same period as Tori here!" she said smiling. Miss Kazuma smiled, "That name sounds familiar... Are you related to a boy named Shun?" she asked pulling out an attendance record. Kibiko did a doubletake and sat there confused, "I do. But, he lives in Australia. Why do you ask?" she said rubbing her head a little. Miss Kazuma stood and looked over her attendance record and found both the names identical. "Well, if he lives there then I think he will be late to class everyday don't you think Miss Imimura? I ask because it appears he is on the attendance!" She showed Kibiko the names and Kibiko laughed. Kibiko giggled, "you're right Miss Kazuma, I will find out if it was a mistake and let you know tomorrow!" she said as she smiled, but as she finished the sentence another follew it coming from the stair case that led from the ground floor to the next. The accent was foreign and the one who it came from dressed like it too. "Well, I'd say that it is correct! After all I am your brother Chibi!" the boy said, Kibiko looked at the staircase and squealed in glee as she ran over to the boy and jumped in his arms. "Shun! Your back from Australia!" after releasing her grip she punched him in the arm, "and quit calling me Chibi! I am not a little girl anymore!" The boy was wearing a biege colored collar shirt, on top was a dark fake-leather vest and slim dark grey jeans and black boots, his hair was a real dark orange, it was a shaggy design and looked natural, his eyes were brown just like Kibiko's. he looked up and saw Tori standing there smiling, "You must be Liwa! My sister talks about you like a big man!" he said holding out his hand, Tori shook it and smiled, "Likewise Shun. By the way nice accent, always liked the Australian accent." Shun laughed and patted Tori on the back, "You alright Tori, just don't ask me to say 'G'day Mate' or anything and there won't ever be a problem!"
Shun looked over at the staircase that led to the roof and saw someone coming down the stairs, "Another friend of yours Chibi?"
