The night was unusually colder than most, the water staying oddly still despite the water crashing down nearby. Then, in a radiant glow, the water began to shimmer. Without much hesitation, two females stepped from it and put themselves on the shore. One appeared to be and older Adult, while the other appeared to be that of a very young adult. "You know what to do, find her and bring the others around if you can... I will do my part." the older one said. The younger woman nodded, "Yes ma'am. I will retrieve her if I can. But, I again must voice my concerns. How do you know I will be able t-...?" she began stopping as the older woman smirked. "You are sisters. No doubt she will listen to you. It's been a long time though, but, I have a feeling she will be right by your side. I guarantee it..." the voice said sounding rather genuine. The younger one nodded, "Yes, ma'am. Shall we be meeting soon?" she asked. The older woman shook her head. "No, I must visit an old acquaintance of mine. However, I need to figure out where I might find him. I could follow the stench of failure but that isn't very... attractive." she said sighing. "Leave me, I will contact you when I can." she said to the younger one. "Understood. I will await your contact, good luck." she said turning and walking away, going toward the town.
The older woman smiled and then walked in the opposite direction. "I have a feeling I might know where he could be..." she said walking to the Origawa Shrine. "The man uses science to create... Monsters..." she says reaching the Shrine. "But, then again... Monsters are only beings people fear, are they not?" she said walking inside. The place seemed empty, nobody appeared to be here in the dead of night, which made her job easier. People were not her forte and she liked keeping it that way. She looked around and questioned her surroundings aloud, "Why build such a place over the seal? How strange... Do these people worship him?" she said looking at nearby writings. "Oh, it appears I am wrong on that... More or less this place is more of a shrine of hope. Well, whatever these people like to blind themselves with, I have better things to look into..." she said looking around. She could feel the breeze coming from the entrance to the underlying city. "Well, not much of a hidden area, then again, most people don't explore Shrines..." she said climbing down to the seal that held Noxious in his cage. The energy was strong, like he was active inside. "Well, hello there. Can you hear me Nocturne?" she said folding her arms.
"Oh, I appear to have a GUEST..." Noxious said sounding sarcastic. "Who might you be, girl?" he said sounding pleased. The woman blinked, "My name is Rin Fujikawa. I doubt you remember me, then again, I doubt if ANY of you remember me." she said huffing a sigh. The being stirred, "Hm? Remember you? I think I would remember someone as confident as... you..." he said becoming unsure. Rin smiled, her coat flowing due to the energy. "Oh of course you wouldn't. Nobody ever give me credit for=... Eh-hem." she composed herself and shook her head. "So, tell me Nocturne ho-...?" she began before being cut off. "NOCTURNE?!" the voice rang, "You have no idea who you speak to, My name is NOXIOUS. The one that brought this place to its knees..." he growled. "Noxious...? If I may ask, Noxious, why the name change?" she asked him that, making him chuckle. "You don't know any of the details. It's quite cute." he said almost sounding polite. "I am the true Harbringer, used by Kaiden Diabound those years ago." he said. Rin smiled, "You managed to become a separate entity of your handler? How fascinating..." she said smiling more. "So, that must mean that Kaiden is..."
"Without any power? Hardly. The boy possesses a part of me. That is all." he says in a growl. "A part of you? What do you mean?" she asks curiously. He chuckled, "the part of me that worked the way Diabound WANTED me to..." he said it sounding happy. Rin's smile shifted to a concerned look. "I see... So you are 'him'..." she states pulling out a small notebook. "You were the one that brought this island down, not Nocturne. Not entirely anyways..." she said writing it down and shutting the notebook. "Well, then. This was a nice chat. But, I must be going. We will... definitely be in touch..." she said smiling and walking away. Noxious chuckled as she left.
"Oh... I am sure we will..." he said smiling. "Go visit Diabound, I am sure... he would be happy to see you. He lives in the cave on the mountain. Not hard to miss..." he grunted. She smiled and waved, "Why thank you. I was actually needing to know where he was. Au Revoir"
-----------------------------------
Rin had made her way to the entrance to the cave, there was a door blocking it, made of strong wood and detailed finishes. She knocked on the door and hear silence. So she opened the door, letting herself in. She quietly made her way into the main chamber. A small light was on, a man sitting at a table could be seen. She smiled, stepping out and then folding her arms. The man looked up, facing the wall. "You know, trespassing isn't nice." the man said. Rin smiled, "Oh, you talk about not being nice, you won't even face me." she said grinning. Diabound froze, his eyes grew agitated. "You." he said turning around. "Why are you here Rin?!" he said standing up. "Now now, calm down. I am not here for anything more than a visit with an old friend. Is that so wrong?" she said shrugging. "Friend? When was the last time we considered ourselves friends?" he said becoming irritated. "Oh come now. What happened between us is in the past. Honestly, I moved past it, can't you?" she said looking happy. Diabound looked her over, "...What do you want?" he said lighting a cigarette. She shook her head. "Honestly, what makes you think I want anything from you? Listen, I really did come to see you. I wanted to connect with an old friend. Is that so wrong?" she said smiling.
"Oh, I see..." he said staying alert. "Now, how is life topside treating you? I know you managed to gain your own department via the council right?" he said sounding worried. "Yes, I managed to get the 'okay' from the council on many studies from the work we did. The work you managed to... 'borrow' from me. Though, I don't hold it against you. I was actually happy for you." she said smiling, "Making quite the name for yourself was something you always wanted was it not?"
"Yeah, if you want to go that route with it. I was shunned and locked up for what happened. I was labeled a maniac by the council..." he said rolling his eyes. Rin smiled, stepping forward toward him. "Now now, so much negativity. You did something most thought would be almost impossible, you finished what I wanted to. You brought them to life." she said getting close to him. "You kept your promise to me. That's what I like..." she said looking lustful. Diabound looked at her and then then backed away, "I bet." he said sounding displeased. "Though, I will say your work was a help. I was able to use it to make myself some rather interesting side projects that are... Well they are alive. Let's go with that." he said folding his arms. Rin looked him over, "Oh, really now? May I meet them? Please, it is the only thing I request!" she said taking his hands and begging at him.
"...Maybe. The two that stay with me are currently out with their mother an-..." he said before she let go. "MOTHER?" she said with a hint of force and anger. Diabound took a drag and finished his cancer stick and nodded. "Yes, after all these years, I married her. You know better to question that decision." he said looking at her with a tired stare. "Eh-hem. I apologize. I didn't mean that. I meant... You gave them a parental figure?" she asked trying to avoid her actual intentions. "Yes, all three are my 'children' if you so wish to call them that. She is their mother." he said looking at her.
"I see. Well, that is unexpected. But, I guess I can't see a harm in it." she looked around and smiled.
"So, where is SHE now?"
The older woman smiled and then walked in the opposite direction. "I have a feeling I might know where he could be..." she said walking to the Origawa Shrine. "The man uses science to create...
