Kaiden opened the door from Nuriko's bedroom slowly. The air was slightly warm in the home, as the island was changing season, so the heating system kept the manor very warm. He made a face of displeasure, stretching his collar lightly. "Ugh, I hate the heat..." he said looking into the hall. Hana passed him by, in a sweater, short skirt, and long stockings. "Hana, how in the world are you comfy in that inside?" he said. She stopped and looked at him, then down at her attire. "Well, I like to think I am cozy. It's not all that bad. Its outside I don't like. It's chilly to me." she said walking off. He sighed walking out of the room and down the stairs. He stepped outside and the chilled air shot inside him. He shuddered and smiled.
"Man, this feels so good..." he said stretching. He was in a thin shirt, the cold air hitting him hard. He smiled, then placed his hands in his pockets and turned toward the porch. Eiko sat there, rocking back and forth. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "You are going to get sick Kaiden. Why aren't you covered up?" she said fixing her own coat and sipping from a mug. He shrugged, "Well, the cold never has bothered me. It is comforting." he said looking to her. Eiko looked at him and sighed. She stood up and looked behind her at the manor. She stood in front of him and smiled, "Kaiden, have you been thinking about... your future?" she said sipping from her mug again. Kaiden looked at the house and rolled his eyes, smiling.
"Yeah, I have... But, I don't have anything to give to my future." he said looking at her nervously. She folded her arms and sighed. "Kaiden, wheres.. the ring?" she asked raising her eyebrow. He sighed and looked away, "I can't... afford one." he said looking down. She smiled, "Oh you are something..." she said patting his head.
"You are going to need a ring if you are going to ask her to marry you. My daughter deserves the best. Now, figure it out."

Nuriko sat in Tori's old apartment. They had kept it for some odd reason, but she was never entirely sure why. When Kazuma and Lillith had litle Aster, she decided to sign his old apartment over to them. She figured Tori would like that. So after she had gotten the ok from Diabound that she had sufficiently healed, she began cleaning out the apartment and helping Lillith learn the basic ins and outs of motherhood. It only took them a week to get the apartment squared away.
She walked out of the apartment after spending most of the day with Lillith and Kazuma. She was wearing a turquoise shirt and a pear of black pants. She smiled as a cool breeze blew past. She walked along the streets, people huddled up in coats, murmuring about the fall. She smiled and kept walking. She stopped at the fountain in the square outside her house. She still had not adjusted to the short hair, but she liked it. She sat at the edge of the fountain, watching the people go about their lives.

Eiko smiled at him then handed him an envelope. He took it and opened it, seeing tons of money. "W-What?! How did you get this?!" he said becoming nervous. She chuckled, waving to him as she walked off back to the porch. She smiled and chuckled again, "Now now, must I share everything with you kids? Trust me, I have ways to get things when I need them." she said winking at him. He looked toward town and shuddered. 'Oh I don't like hearing that...' he thought to himself. Walking off toward town, he looked at the money and sighed. He was appreciative of the money, but, at the same time he felt bad. He made his way into the square and then upon seeing Nuriko, stuffed the money into his pocket. He tried to sneak by and entered the jewler, hoping she didn't sense him nearby. He had tried to conceal his energy from her, but, wasn't sure if he was capable of it. He looked behind him as he approached the counter. He looked at the rings. Each one looked good, but, nothing seemed perfect. The owner was an older lady, and she smiled upon seeing Kaiden browsing the engagement rings.
"Ah, looking for THE ring are we?" she said leaning on the counter. Kaiden looked at her and chuckled, "Y-Yeah... I just don't know..." he looked back to the case, "None of these seem... to be..." he said shaking his head. She smiled and walked over to him, "Perfect?" he looked to her and hice face turned sad. "Well, yeah... I apologize, I don't mean to be rude..." he said looking apologetic. She patted his shoulder and smiled. "Oh no dearie, don't apologize. I know what you are looking for. Tell me, what stone is her birthstone?" she asked going back behind the counter. "I have a small selection of very special engagement rings, 4 left that all have birthstones. I only mention these to those I feel are going to be great husbands." she said winking at him. He walked to the counter, smiling.
"Aquamarine. Her birth stone is Aquamarine." he said looking at her with confidence. "Oh my, that color might be..." she started to say as she looked at the case under the counter. She sounded little confident, which made him worry. "...Available! I thought so!" she said making him jump. His face became happy as she pulled the ring out. It was a bright silver, almost appearing to be white. On top sat a flower shaped gem, an Aquamarine gem. His heart began to beat faster and faster as he realized that this was it.
"It... this is it!" he said smiling. The woman nodded, then placed it in a ring box. "Now, before I sell it to you, the price is a factor. This ring is very special, as it was one of few rings made long ago. Back when the town that laid here before vanished. Its basically a relic dear." she said looking nervous. "Due to this rarity... the price comes to $500,000 dollars..." she said looking at Kaiden. Kaidens heart ceased to almost a crawl. "Five... Hundred... Thousand...?" he said drooping down. His hand grazed his pocket, realizing he had money, but, not sure how much. He took out the money and examined it, it was rather old. Then he saw the dollar amount. "WHAT?!" he said shooting up. The bills read $10,000 on each. He began to count them, seeing that he had about 70 of them. His heart began to beat faster and his eyes grew full of joy. "Here!" he said counting the money out. The shopkeep looked at the bills and gasped.
"Young man! These bills are... Where on earth did you get these?!" she said looking at him confused. He grabbed the ring and bowed, "Sorry, I have to go! But thank you!" he said running out of the shop and back to the manor. The keep looked at the money and sighed happily. "That's the second person to have bought my relics..." she said softly and smiling.
Kaiden got to the manor quickly, noticing Eiko had gone inside. He sat on the porch and caught his breath. He realized it was almost time, time to do what he should have done a long time ago. He was going to ask her to marry him, to be his forever.
"Ok, Nuriko... this time... I will be there for you no matter what."

Nuriko sat at the edge of the fountain, watching the people scurry around until it started getting dark. Then she stood up and walked toward the house. As she reached the gate she noticed Kaiden sitting on the front porch. She smiled curiously, eyeing the shirt he was wearing.
"You're going to catch a cold silly..."

Kaiden saw her and smiled. When she spoke of him catching a cold, he scoffed, throwing her a chuckle. "Nah, I am pretty much immune to the cold. Being in that cell all those years, it helps me more than hurts..." he said looking at the house. "Plus, its freakishly warm in there. Hana loves that sauna..." he said smiling strangely. He tapped his pocket, reassuring himself that he still had her ring on him. He walked toward her and took her hand. "Hey, let's go for a walk, there is something I want to talk to you about." he said walking and leading her behind him. He made his way to the meadows, near Tori's grave. Kaiden built a bench behind the grave, so those who wanted to spend time with Tori, they could. He stood in front of it and smiled. The sun was going down, giving him an amazing layer or orange to purple sky. He looked at Nuriko, his heart racing.
"Nuriko..." he began, swallowing the lump in his throat. "Before I got sent there... to Noxious' cell..." His heart kept racing, causing him to sweat slightly. "I fell in love with you. Everything about you was paradise. But, because of him, I wasn't able to do what I should have done all this time..." he held her hand and his grip tightened lovingly. He knelt down, looking up at her. His eyes were glowing from the sunlight, his smile was that of joy. He opened his mouth, slightly hesitant to continue with his words.
"But, now I can. Nuriko Tsukina, the love of my life, will you marry me?"

Nuriko smiled as Kaiden took her hand and lead her through the town. She wondered what he needed to talk to her about that would require him leading her to the other side of the island. But she always enjoyed any time alone with him. She seemed alot calmer, emotionally, recently. Almost like being with Kaiden was calming for her.She was alot happier than she had been recently as well. They kept walking until they reached Tori's grave. She could tell that Kaiden had put alot of work into it. There was a slight breeze, which was a little chilly as the sun was going down. The sunset almost took her breath away, it was remarkably beautiful today. She listened to his words, her voice catching in her chest as he kneeled down. But it was the question that he asked her that really made her weak in the knees. She took a deep breath, sitting on the bench, her hand still being held by Kaiden. She grinned, the love radiating from her as she tackled Kaiden, knocking him over onto the ground. Tears fell down her cheeks as she looked into his eyes.
"Kaiden, I love you with all of my being. You have always been my best friend and the only one i've ever felt comfortable confiding in. Nothing would make me happier than to marry you."

Kaiden laughed as she tackled him, "You... you said yes..." he began to tear up. "SHE SAID YES!" he said kissing her deeply then holding her close. "I.. I can finally feel at ease..." he said before looking up into the sky. He laid there with her then looked to the sunset. It began to sink into the ocean and he smiled. He patted her, "You know, we should get home before we freeze to death." he said smiling softly at his fiance. "I might not get cold, but, I don't want you sick." he helped her up and then looked into her eyes. He gazed into them, then kissed her deeply. He took her hand and nodded toward the manor.
"Ok, lets head home and tell everyone what wen on tonight!" he said leading her home. They got close, hand in hand and in within a matter of minutes the manor was in sight. Eiko was sitting on the porch enjoying a cup of coffee. She looked up, seeing the two hand in hand. She smiled warmly. She looked at Kaiden and he nodded to her. She raised her mug to him and walked inside. He looked back to Nuriko and smiled, his heart was jumping in his chest. They reached the front door and he sighed.
"Okay. So, what happens now? How should we tell everyone?"

Nuriko smiled, walking along as Kaiden lead her home. She hadn't entirely worked it all out in her head until the mansion came into sight. She stopped, a worried look on her face as something came into her mind. "Uhh... Kaiden? Can we wait a sec? We need to talk about something first." she pulled him out of eyesight of the mansion. "Maybe this should wait a little bit." She took a deep breath, looking up at Kaiden for a second, then looking around, leaning on the wall of the house. "I can't imagine Kazuma and Hana would be very thrilled at the idea, especially this soon after their fathers passing. I..." she looking a little concerned, gazing toward the house again. "Also, I got a notice from my brother Mikael. He apparently heard from my mother what had happened and is coming to visit me."

Kaiden looked at Nuriko and blinked. "Mikael...?" he said looking nervous. As for the kids, he wasn't really sure himself how to deal with them both. He knew deep down that both of them wouldn't take the news well. "I think they deserve to know but..." he said sighing, "We can wait. Give or take nobody else knows about this." He walked with her toward the door, then walked inside. He turned to see Hana reading in the den. She looked up at him then she turned back to her book, "Back already?" she said sounding slightly annoyed. She looked back, awaiting a response. He nodded then moved out of her view and sighed, knowing she wasn't happy with him. He looked back at Nuriko and shut his eyes, slightly in shame. "This will be fun..." he said walking up to Nuriko's room. He sat on the bed and then took a deep breath and laid back.
"Well, what now...?"
---------------------------------------------------------
Kazuma had begun unpacking a box nearby and start placing some of his clothes in a chest nearby. Him a Lillith had a new home and it made him quite anxious, he had a kid and his love in one place and it was making him overflowed with joy. He looked out the window nearby and watched as the oceans waves struck the beach. Something about it calmed him down, making him rather relaxed. He smiled, standing up and walking into the living room. He took a deep breath and sighed happily.
"This place is my... OUR... new home..."
