Nuriko walked solemnly down the beach, barely aware of the group following her. Even though she was the one who brought them with her. She had been growing weary of the constant battling, the constant sadness. Sometimes she considered herself lucky, but others it was draining just to wake up in the morning. First Placids disappearance, but she had a lot of respect for Mihari for holding up as well as she does. Though, maybe it was all the time Nuriko spent looking for Tori in the earlier years, but she wasn't as depressed as Mihari was when Tori disappeared. Nuriko felt, especially now, that she needed to keep herself together. She had been Niharuka's guardian for years. She kept the peace and protected its people, human and non-human. Even if she hated fighting.
Behind her followed Hana and Kazuma. She didn't take them this far out of town very often, but she felt that this was necessary. On top of her recent discovery of hana's 'Harbinger' form, if that's what you would call it. Though it hadn't actually come out yet, the dreams she was having would point to it, as they were similar to the dreams her father was having. And considering both of her parents had harbingers when she was conceived, It would have been silly to expect otherwise. She wasn't sure about Kazuma... other than his love of fighting, he would seem to be a fairly normal person. Angel, yes. Much stronger than the average person, but otherwise normal. But Hana... she was conceived by two angels, one of which was battling with controlling his own harbinger, and one was in possession of the harbinger of life and death.
But Hana wasn't the only reason she was bringing this group of people with her. They walked off the path on the beach, walking into some brushery which seemed to hide the entrance to a small cavern hallway. She looked behind her for a second to make sure everyone was close. She also brought Mihari and her children.
Mihari had been through quite a bit in the last few years. Starting out as a priestess and a psychic who was losing a losing battle with death, she ended up falling in love with an angel of death and gaining her life back, plus a few extras along the way. Having won over the angel who was in possession of one of the most dangerous spirits in existence, Nuriko had a lot of respect for Mihari. She was a living reminder that love can save even the most lost souls. That a little love and kindness can go a long way sometimes.
And having had children with placid, that meant that her children were not only half angel, but powerful psychics on top of this. Though Jayden didn't seem to show any signs of being a psychic, Lillith did. On top of the extremely strong connection to her father that she had as well. It made Nuriko wonder. As the daughter of a priestess from one of the most powerful lines of priestess, Lillith has holy blood. But there was also the chance that she was corrupted by Nocturne in the process. If there was anything that Nocturne didn't like it was holy energy. How would that effect Lillith? She didn't know much about the child, but it definitely made her curious.
As they walked through this hallway, the energy seemed to feel pure, protected. More holy than the energy that was protecting Nuriko's house. They made it out of the small cavern-hallway to find a large cavern. It seemed very mystical, there were glowing blue rocks and veins on the wall, the veins seeming to lead to a small pool of water in the center of the cavern. The pool also was glowing blue.
"I think it's high time we stopped playing around, don't you?" she turned to look at the group of people following her, a serious look on her face. Mihari looked around.
"Where are we?" she looked at Nuriko again. Nuriko smiled a little.
"This is a place very few people know about. Only a select few angels know about it, those who were guardians of the Niharuka shrine bloodline. Mostly just me. Maybe a couple others. Very well hidden, and the most protected place on this island. It is called the Mirror of Memories. It is very powerful, mostly used to view lost memories. Memories that people have in their minds that they think they have forgotten. But it is also an extremely powerful Psychic amplifier."

Kazuma and Hana gazed all around the room. Hana, being cautious since her 'dreams', walked to the wall and stroked one of the veins. A viel of energy glazed over her and she sighed.
"Mom... I feel... Amazing." She said smiling. Kazuma stood with and eyebrow raised and shrugged. He turned to his mother, folding his arms in a way of comprehensive thinking.
"So... What does this place have as a purpose? What are we here for...?" He said as Hana looked back and forth at him and thier mother.
Hana looked at the pool of water in the center of the room. It was almost glowing to a point of being called 'shinning'. Then, Hana figured out what it meant. What it meant to be there.
"Wait, the power of this place amplifies Psychic power right? So that means that we could use this to help find dad?" She said almost excited. Kazuma looked at her with distaste and sciffed at the idea.
"Yeah let's waste time looking for him... A guy who doesn't want to return..." he said. Hana looked at him then lowered her head, she hated hearing that from her brother. It almost felt like he was breaking her heart in a way.
"Well, if not our Dad, then does that mean we can use the Mirror to find Lillith and Jaydens dad? Placid I mean." She said it not really confident in her words, almost feeling like she asked a stupid question.
Kazuma had walked forward during her question to peek at the water, it seemed blue as ice but not clear enough to see through, however a perfect reflection was casted back at him. He looked at his reflection for several seconds before getting a little sleepy. Then he heard screams, a lot of screams.
Roaring.
Sounds of dying at all points.
Then, the smell of burning flesh and wood filled his nostrils.
His eyes had closed, until the image of the Vulture with Blue eyes screeched into his mind deep enough to jolt him awake and fall flat on his behind.
He stood up and backed away from the pool. He turned around to see everyone staring at him, Hana's face in horror. Kazuma glanced at everyone and shrugged.
"It makes you dream things at least..." he said giving the most obvious fake smile. Hana covered her mouth and whimpered, almost fighting her tears.
"What did we just see?" She said looking at her mother. Kazuma looked at her and shrugged.
"I'm confused..." he said it as if he really didn't know. The thought of people being charred and killed in his thoughts almost were eating him up inside. So much death happening around him all caused by that one, single, destructive entity. The black shadow reaching as far as the sky, four arms to match the gruesome beings face, a simple skull of that of what appeared to be a vulture, gazing with its eyes in pure madness. Screaming at him in ways that showed ownership. It said things like, "Look at what I have done" or "I can do worse".
Hana looked at her brother then near the pool of water. Almost unable to speak, she muttered out her last words.
"We could hear your... Mom, what happened?" she muttered. As Kazuma shrugged again.
Kazuma walked back to the wall and leaned against it and smirked, "Don't worry so much, it was... just a scenario to a story I wanna write. Y'know, fiction."
Hana looked at him and calmed down a bit but, felt it wasn't legitimately true. She felt he was hiding something but didn't know what. She looked at her mother and shook the feeling away. Speaking to her mother in a rather serious tone, yet, saddened.
"So... What are we doing here...?"

"You both are right, actually. I have reason to believe that they have both been taken... by the same person. And the visions you are having... They are views of what could happen if we don't rescue your father. I have been thinking about this alot... " She looked around the room, between the four children and Mihari. "The mirror of memories shows you possibilities of what could happen. Nothing is set in stone, but this shows you visions of what could happen... What you saw is what i'd like to keep from happening if at all possible. Which brings me back to Tori and Placid. Part of which is partially my fault, though at the time we didn't have much choice. I was holding Thanatos for a reason. Nobody else alive was capable of containing and controlling him. I handed Thanatos over to your father to save us all, because at the time, he was the only one capable of doing such. Placid, well you all know what happened with him. I think Diabound plans to give Thanatos over to Nocturne, fusing them together..."
Nuriko looked over to Mihari.
"The reason I brought you here... With all the holy energy plus all the psychic blood in this room right now, we can amplify your psychic abilities so you can pinpoint exactly where Tori and Placid are right now. We need to get them away from that madman before he can do any more harm..."

Hana looked at her brother, who at this point was looking down in disappointment. He knew he had lied and his mother finding out wasn't something he wanted. He stood up as he listened to her plan. He shook his head when she mentioned finding his father.
'Why should we find him? He's not apparently useful, if he were he'd be here by now...' he thought scoffing to himself.
Hana listened in and smiled a bit, "So you're saying that we can find dad and Placid all in one shot? But, how will we know who is who?" she asked mostly confused at her own question. Kazuma sighed and stepped in.
"Because Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumbass will have high bounded energy, making them basically bricks in a haystack, in other words, unable to be missed." he said scoffing again. Hana looked at him and walked up to him, slapping him in the face.
"Whats your problem?! What is it that makes you so quick to judge dad?!" she said looking at him almost in tears. He smiled and turned away, sighing as he turned to leave.
"You wouldn't understand. Nobody but him would..." he said walking back outside.
'Nobody will... Not in a million years...'
--------------------------------------------------------
"Well? Is our stage set my children?"
"Yeah yeah, the little angels are in the cave. They will be trying to find Big Brother soon. Plus the idiot angel Thanatos has a hold of. Speaking of which..."
"Not now Willow, we are NOT having this discussion again. I told you... We MUST bring him back. Its not an option to let this go."
"Why do you want this guy back and how do you know we can trust him not to kill us too huh?!"
"I have faith in him that he will listen to me, you must understand I know more about this being than anyone."
"So you're an expert of freaks and demons eh? So tell me what makes him so special and keen to your eye?"
"I have history with him. Thats as much as my daughters need to know. As much as anyone should know. Period. Now, run along and take your Big Brother with you. Toss him on the beach. They seem to be there anyways."
"What is your play father? Toying with them? Why are we giving them the main ingredient?"
"Patience my dear, all of it will make sense eventually. Time is our ally here, nobody knows what we are planning here. Not even that woman. Tsukina or what not... Top of the notch failure with that one..."
"Failure? On what means?"
"I started that blasted project because Placid failed. All testing on my greatest creations were nullified after Niharuka's downfall. Thus, the project of... Harbringers.... Hmph..."
"You made Harbringers? I thought they were souls who choose their hosts."
"thats half correct. Harbringers are born from souls lost in heaven, you can die in the kingdom above but once you do, it leads to greater things. The choice of Guardianship. But, the methods I used are a bit more... hostile."
"I like where this is going..."
"I use a device to trick souls into thinking they were ready to fuse. Not all souls had a positive outcome. One wouldn't listen and even changed into a hostile being all together. The project was given to HER as a prototype. We didn't expect her to live, but, she did."
"You mean to tell me Prototype 0 wasn't Big Brother?"
"No, it was Nuriko."
"That Angel? Thanatos is really a...?"
"An uncontrollable pawn that she was lucky enough to control? Unlikely. Theres science behind everything, there must have been a reason behind her acceptance and reason with it. the device didn't work on it. There is a reason but I care not to learn of it. Now, fill your duties child, time to take center stage...."
"Hehe, sure father, whatever you say..."
-----------------------------------------------------
Belmonte sat on the porch of the manor staring at the grass blowing in the warm breeze. He yawned and stretched, laying back a bit.
"Man, I am so bored..." he said stretching and yawning again. He looked around and finally stood up. He felt kind of lost without the Liwa's around. He missed everyone to a point of boredom. He walked around the property until reaching the back and layed on the fountins rim staring at the sky once again.
"Im kinda lost on why I couldn't go with them but, Nuriko said no..." he sat up and sighed, "oh well... Might as well look around town!"
He walked down the walkway that led down into town, the breeze still blowing. As he walked he noticed a familiar girl walking farther in front of him. The girl had long bluish-white hair.
"Oh hey! Sanya!" he yelled dashing forward. She turned around and jumped at the sight of someone running towards her. She stopped letting him catch up, after which he walked with her.
"So, whatcha doin'?" he said trying not to sound out of shape. She looked ahead and slightly upset, "Oh nothing... Just uhm... Helping someone." she said almost whispering.
Belmonte looked at her and was trying to detirmine what was wrong with her. She was either nervous or happy he was there. But whatever it was was a mystery. Maybe she was needing someone to talk to anyways.
"A friend?" he asked, she nodded her head but it seemed a bit lacking in faith. He looked at her again and smiled, "A boyfriend huh?"
At that point she squeeled under her breath, "W-w-what?! N-no! I dont have a boyfriend! I-I'm for real!" she said almost in tears. Belmonte regreted his words but at least learned something about her. No boyfriend? How? She was beautiful, not only that was someone Kazuma would even chase after.
"H-hey! No harm done! I'm not trying to make fun of you I was just kidding...!" he said trying to calm the situation down. He sat and looked at her, she looked kinda disappointed that she said what she did, like she wish she had someone to enjoy time with, even as a friend.
"You know what Sanya?" he said, she turned to him and blinked softly, "What?" she said giving him a scared, yet, empty glance. He smiled, "Im taking you out today, no if's, and's, or but's about it!" he said taking her hand.
She yelp at his movement and tried keeping up with him, "But, I was helping my friend!" she said keeping up just enough for him to stop. "Oh yeah," he said thinking, "Can it wait?" Sanya looked around and nodded, "I think so, Father always said we have all the time in the world so..." she said looking down, almost nervous.
Belmonte looked at her and put his hand on her shoulder, causing her to jump a little, "Listen, I can tell you are nervous of being around people. Trust me, growing up, I trusted nobody at all and when I did it was the wrong person, then... Well... Its hard to explain, but, the Liwa's really helped me grow up and I have a feeling you didn't have many friends as a kid... I know what it's like and I know its not fun to be alone..." he took her hands and held them and smiled, "I know it'll be hard but, c'mon! Let's have a day out, and, lets be friends Sanya! Best friends!"
She looked at him and teared up pulling her hands back violently. Her head started to hurt. She didn't want to defy her father. Her sister. Her family. The thoughts of disppointment and berating comments flowed through her mind like a river of pure hate. Her face grew in sadness until she looked down and sobbed, "I-I can't..." she said backing up. "Father wouldn't like me to make friends. It's not a good idea Belmonte I..."
She stopped as she noticed his hand wiping her tears away, "Sanya, since when do we ALWAYS listen to our parents? Please, I want to be your friend, and I won't take no for an answer!" he said smiling, she teared up and shook. She was unsure what to say, what to do, so, she did what was in her gut. She reached out and gave him a forceful hug. Sending tears down her cheeks.
"What the...?" Belmonte said as the girl hugged him. Her tears flowed but over a smile. "Sanya, don't cry... It'll be okay..." Belmonte said hugging her back. Sayna wiped her tears away and smiled more just knowing she had a friend was enough to finally break a smile on her face. Something she never knew could happen.
"Trust me... I'm not gonna cry anymore. Thank you... Thank you Belmonte... and... Let's be best friends!"

Nuriko sighed. She didn't entirely blame him, he was very young when Tori dissapeared. Mihari smiled and grabbed Nuriko's hand briefly.
"Don't take it so hard, Jayden feels the same way about Placid. Difference is Jayden has no memory of his father at all. He was still a baby when he was taken." Jayden scoffed and rolled his eyes, then leaned casually on the wall. Lillith kneeled on the ground, touching the water casually. She kept thinking about the figure they saw the other day. Was that really Hana's father? It made her feel bad.
Nuriko gripped Mihari's hand. The air got thicker, and the water started glowing more blue than it already had. Mihari could feel her energy grow, and started concentrating her psychic ability into tracking down any source of dark energy. Then a few things happened at once. Mihari honed in at the entrance to a cave on the volcano, and at the same time, Lillith had a vision. She was standing on what looked like the beach, not too far down. She took a few steps before seeing the body of a man on the edge of the water. He had white hair...
Mihari stumbled a little, shaking her head as she looked up at Nuriko. "There is a very dark presence eminating from a cavern on the volcano. Something is there, but I'm not sure what."
It was a few more seconds before Lillith came to. She blinked, looking at the entrance to the cave before taking off running outside. Her heart skipped a beat as she reached the beach and started running down the path. She stopped running and just walked a few more feet down before seeing a man with white hair laying on the beach. She froze for a second before walking around him slowly. She kneeled next to him, looking tentatively at him before she saw the group running behind her. They sat there, gazing at Placid, not quite knowing what to do as Lillith sat next to him, brushing her hand over his for a split second.
Nuriko was confused... "Why... This seems wrong. Something is not right here..."
-------------------------------------------------------
It was dark and quiet outside, so the echo of high heels was very noticable. A woman with long red hair was walking alone down a small path, taking in the surroundings. She hadn't been here in a very long time. It brought back memories... very sad ones. She scoffed for a second, then stopped walking. She had come to a cliff that overlooked A good portion of the island. Her blood red eyes took in the views, from the dead volcano, to the town in the center of the island. She closed her eyes and listened. She could feel the darkness eminating from a cave on the volcano. She could feel a massive psychic wave burst centering from somewhere near a beach farther down the island from her. She opened her eyes, looking somewhat sad for the first time in years.
"I fear you are too late, child. Nothing you can do for this..." then closed her eyes before walking toward the volcano.

Kazuma had ran after Lilith after feeling the energy from the cave emit a wave of psychic power. "Geez, shes pretty quick..." he muttered to himself. After he found her she had made her way to a white haired being in the said, who appeared to be unconscious. Moments later the rest of the group showed up and surrounded them. Nurikos words made Hana nervous.
"Mom, do you know what is happening? Who is this?" she said in a shaken tone. The man grunted as his eyes opened. All he could see was the girl with red eyes looking at him. He connected and locked eyes with her and stared at her seconds before he passed out again.
'Lili... Looks like you grew up without me after all... Thats my girl...' he thought to himself as he began to sleep. The group stood in awe as they watched him sleep. Hana watched Lilith as she sat near this man. Her reaction to him was happy, yet, held back. She seemed unsure what to do or even say. Hana kneeled next to her and smiled.
"Is this him? Is this your dad?"
----------------------------------------
"Welcome back... Were you successful?"
"Do you see a body?"
"Hm, no, but, that doesn't mean you followed my instructions, does it?"
"Grr... I dropped him on the beach like you said. Now, wheres Sanya, she done cooking yet? Lifting Placid around made me hungry..."
"Shes not here... Have you not seen her?"
"Nah, I don't always keep a tight leash on her, though I should. She follows commands from me better than anyone."
"That's because she fears you Willow, you are also her family, she wouldn't disappoint us..."
"Well, should I search for her then? At least to see if shes in need of assistance with the job you gave her?"
"You don't have to, but, you can watch her if you must. No need to get involved unless you deem it necessary."
"Hehe, ok, I can do that~"
"Willow... Play nice."
"Hehe, no promises..."
----------------------------------------------------------
Belmonte and Sanya had made their way to the pier, a local date spot for most as well as a great place to just enjoy ones self. The ocean around them was calm and rarely ever changed. They stood next to a railing over looking the water as the moon glistened the water with its light. Sanya as plucked some cotton candy that Belmonte had bought them, she hadn't ever had food like this before. then again, she never got to have fun like this before.
She watched the moonlight and smiled, "Belmonte, thank you for today." she said sighing. Belmonte laughed and nodded, "Hey, it's what friends do right? They have fun!" at that moment a couple had walked up and stood nearly feet away from them. The man kneeled down and the girl started to get really excited. Sanya watched in curiosity of what she was seeing. She watched as he pulled a box from his pocket and the lady squealed and shook her head yes.
Belmonte turned to notice her watching and smiled. "Thats pretty cool." he said causing Sanya to turn around towards him, "I don't understand. What happened just there. What did he do? Why was she saying yes alot?" she plucked more cotton candy as she watched them with a smile. Belmonte rose an eyebrow and smiled, "Uh, he proposed. Y'know, he wanted to make her his wife and stuff. They are getting married." he said smiling nervously. She turned back and smiled.
"Oh I see..." she said, "Thats nice..." She looked down then the smile ran from her face. A frown had appeared. She knew what her purpose was and she knew happiness like that wouldn't happen. It COULDN'T happen. Not with her being the was she was made to be. Not human. It brought a tear to her eye and she sniffed. Belmonte looked at her and hugged her, "Hey... 'What happened to no more tears' huh?" he said smiling. Sanya backed up and sighed, she wanted to tell him what the problem was but he wouldn't get it. Most likely he would think shes crazy.
"I want to tell you but... I-I can't..." she said looking down again and wiping her tears away. Belmonte nodded and leaned on the rail smiling, "It's not good to let things bottle up inside. If you need to vent, then just tell me. It'll make you feel better. Trust me." he said with confidence, but, further behind them stood a figure in the shadows, someone familiar.
'Now now Sanya... Be a good girl and keep your mouth SHUT.'
Sanya stood there and sighed. Giving into what he asked of her, "Ok... But, you won't like what I say..." she gulped and began, "Me and my sister... We are not who we say... We are really...!"
'Dammit! SHUT UP!'
The being walked out of the shadows and spoke its voice aloud. "Now now, sister! Where have you been! Fathers been worried sick about you! You didn't tell us you were going to be out tonight!" it said with a friendly smile. The sound of the voice made Sanyas heart feel like it stopped. She froze and her eyes grew wide. She turned to see willow standing a few feet from her.
"S-Sister..!? I-I...!" she began before Willow continued, "Now hush, if you wanna sneak out on a date at least tell me so I can hide it from Father. He would't like it if you dated, now c'mon before we get in trouble!" she said taking her arm. "D-Date?! I-I wasn't on a...!" she said before getting pulled along behind Willow. Who was waving behind her to Belmonte and smiled, "Sorry! Its not because I don't like you or anything! Shes much to busy for a boyfriend! Later! See you in school Belmonte!" Willow said dragging her sister along. As she turned around her face grew angry, and as they left the peir she led them to an empty alley.
"What the HELL where you thinking?! Not only did you not follow Fathers instructions but you disobeyed me?! For what?! A BOY?!" she said shoving her sister into the wall, "Let me make this clear for you. You are not to SPEAK or SEE him again unless I am with you, UNDERSTAND?!" she said grabbing her sister hair. Sanya had started to cry and was holding Willow's hand in pain, as to not let her cause more damage to her hair. Sanya squirmed and cried out an answer of acknowledgement and Willow let go. Her eyes were filled with rage, "Now get up you crybaby, we need to go home so Father can talk to you, and he WON'T like what he hears! Now move!" She had kicked Sanya in the hip to get her up and moving. As they left the alley Willow pushed her to hurry her up, the Volcano was a good 3 to 4 mile hike, However, they could make it in about an hour to the cave where the seal was set up for the Black Blade. Sanya was walking with tears rolling down her face, holding her arms. They were hurting from Willow's abuse and were bruised from past beatings. Willow continued to push her until the edge of town, after which she stopped and let Sanya walk on her on accord.
"Now, move your ass before Father sends that damn Harbringer after us. He's the last damn thing I wanna see. Especially after seeing you..."
