It was another hot summer day. Sun was shining, and not a cloud in the sky. Angel Falls was calm as usual. As the sun hit its peak, a woman kneeled on the side of the lake. She had her long blonde hair down free as she eyed the lake calmly, its stillness reflecting in her violet eyes. It was a day she wasn't looking forward to too much. It was 15 years to the day since everything had happened.
Two teenagers stepped up to the side of her, gazing into the waters curiously, yet calmly. The boy had an impatient air about him, and looked rather confused and excited both at once. He has blonde hair and violet eyes just like the woman next to him. But the one on the other side looked much different. She appeared to have whitish-silver hair and bright red eyes. She looked silently at the water, her features as still and calm as the water. She looked emotionless, almost cold.
The woman had avoided explaining alot of things to her children; their fathers dissapearance, the reason they were in home-school for so long, alot of things. She had been slowly telling them everything on the way there; how she met Placid, about the battles, Nocturne, the angels, everything. She explained how they were half-'angel', as that was the best description she could come up with. She explained about Nuriko and Tori being angels, and how their children, Hana and Kazuma were both angels. She explained how after Nocturnes fall, Placid had been taken into custody by the guardians to make sure he was no longer a threat, as they told her.
She was just finishing when they reached the lake. The children had been quiet the entire time. Lillith broke the silence, sighing. "Makes sense."
Mihari shrugged. "I'm enrolling you two in high school today. 5 years was all I really needed to wait. Just until you two looked old enough to pass for high schoolers." she chuckled a little. Then she looked around the lake. "This was the last place I saw your father, exactly 15 years ago."
Lillith raised her eyebrow curiously for a second. She had always felt rather 'close' to her father, if close was the word for it. She never understood why, but she felt as if there was a strange bond between her and him. She couldn't place it though, and wondered for a split second if it had anything to do with Nocturne. She shrugged it off though, not really caring too much. She had no memory of her father except for that feeling.
Jayden didn't seem to care too much about his father, though he was quite excite about the idea of being half-angel. He smiled a little, stretching his arms. "Does that mean that Hana and Kazuma will be going to the high school with us?"
Mihari looked over at him. "Most likely. I don't think she has any reason not to, plus she doesn't want to separate you four." as she turned toward her children, she looked them over. It was hard to believe it had been 15 years since everything had happened.

Hana looked out into the courtyard and watched as the foliage of some of the nearby trees rustled. "Not right now... Not yet..." she said looking into the sky. "Why now...? Why High School?" she said as Kazuma ran out of the door, "You're gonna be late bookworm! C'mon! The ladies await!" he shouted back at her, laughing with the utmost pride. She sighed as she walked along the path leading to the front gate. She brushed her school uniform of dust and other variations of dirt. The uniforms for girls bothered her a bit. The skirts weren't to short but she wasn't a huge fan of showing her legs to often. The uniforms were black with accents of white here and there. A formal undershirt worn underneath was white and a black tie was worn around the neck. The Boys uniform was about the same, however, slacks were issued to them.
Kazuma stood in front of the gate of the school and smiled. "Ha! This place will be ripe with new blood... I can smell the girls..." he said almost drooling. Hana walked slowly behind until she finally reached her brothers side. Once she reached him a few girls walked past and knocked her stuff from her hands, giggled, and then winked at Kazuma. Hana sighed and picked her stuff up and shook her head.
"Kazuma, I don't know if I am ready for this..." she said almost pale. "We haven't ever been in any schools before for lessons..." Kazuma laughed as he waved at the two girls who abruptly bullied his sister. "Nah, quit worrying. Trust me, you'll be fine! I can protect you from anyone!" he said walking ahead of her.
She stood there and heaved another sigh, "Gee... I almost feel like that offer was an empty one..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"School?! For what purpose father? We cant stay here with you?!" this girl looked angry, almost mean. The man smiled and he patted her head. "Now now... You and your sister need to make us look normal among the mortals. Attend the Academy and make friends. Be normal. All will be fine, trust your father...."
The girls hair was cut short and was that of someone rebellious. It was white as could be and her eyes were red but over them were glasses. "Fine... We will attend, but, this better be worth it..." she said taking her sisters hand and leaving through the nearby door. The man smiled as he sat at the small table in the seemingly nice room.
"Ah, I am sure everything will be just fine Willow... Just fine...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The classroom was already filled with students. Being labeled as Sophomores by the Academy's board of officials, Hana and Kazuma were unfamiliar with any of the boys and girls in the class. Most of them were in small groups together and seemed to know one another. The girls from earlier were there eyeing the two siblings and whispered among themselves. Hana inched her way toward the door before Kazuma took hold of her arm.
"Now now, don't be afraid. Just remember what Auntie said, "They will force you into a corner but as long as you have teeth showing they won't bite." Remember?" he said it smiling and she sighed.
"Yeah yeah... Lets get this over with..."

Lillith and Jayden stood in front of the school. Lillith eyed the building rather emotionlessly. She had her long silver hair tied back loosely, her bangs hanging in her face. Her red eyes surveyed the area before she walked into the building. The excited blonde behind her barely noticed her start moving before running to catch up, walking next to her. His excited violet eyes kept darting around the building, taking everything in. But he followed behind Lillith rather closely, not wanting to get lost. Lillith walked through the building as if she knew every turn, walking straight to their classroom without barely a second glance.
When they opened up the classroom door, they found Hana and Kazuma already sitting there. Lillith gave a small smirk, which made her look like she was plotting something. Then she walked over to the two, noticing the girls eyeing Hana and glaring at her. As she sat down next to her, the girls moved their glances over to Lillith. She glared back dirtily at them. They jumped, looking a little worried before looking away from them to whisper amongst themselves. Then she looked at Hana and smiled a little.
"Hello."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mihari looked around the temple, doing her weekly cleaning up bit. She looked around to see her cat Narcissus. "You silly cat, where have you been?" She laughed, then dusted off her priestess robes. Her hair had gotten muhc longer in the past 5 years, and she now kept it up in a ponytail, but her bangs still hung in her face. Her violet eyes looked around the temple as she went about her duties. The temple barely looked as if anything had happened to it. Even the damage done to it had been repaired, thanks to Nuriko. She paid to have the temple repaired. Mihari felt it rather necessary to continue upkeep on the temple. It was something she had done since she was young, and she wanted to do this one last service to her family. Plus it felt odd for her to not do it. But something inside her hoped that if she came back to the temple, Placid would come back to her, though she felt silly admitting it. She still got urges to cry about it sometimes, but she knew that if she gave in, the darkness she felt when he died would consume her again, and she was needed here. She remained stubbornly strong, kept her attitude and spirits up. She sighed, sitting on the steps for a brief moment to catch her breath and take in the scenery.

Hana smiled as her best friend sat next to her and Jayden sat in front of Kazuma. She sighed in relief as her and her obnoxious brother weren't the only two in the room. Kazuma gave Jayden one of their abnormal handshakes and they sat down. Hana, looking a bit calmer spoke in almost a whisper.
"How do you do it Lili? How can you just be so brave at any moment? Its so amazing..." she said leaning her head on her arm whilst the girls that where speaking among themselves. They were whispering jeers at the four new students, the usual "Ew, go home 'homeschoolers'" and the occasional, "You don't belong here you freaks..."
Kazuma seemed uneffected by it. However, that quickly changed until a group of boys walked up to him and Jayden. The biggest one seemed to be ringleader of the group, and his facial expression seemed very upsetting.
"Yo... You're in my seat..." he said as his lackies snickered. Kazuma looked up then looked at Jayden and smiled. "Oh Sorry," he said, "That stench of yours is all over this desk! Thats your territory mark isnt it?"
Hana gasped and became nervous, "Kazu! Stop! Youre not making this any better!" she said fidgeting. The bully looked down and glared at Kazuma in the eye, "You wanna say that again punk? You think you can take us on all at once right here?!" at that point Kazuma was getting antsy, he glared back with a dangerous grin on his face.
"Whats wrong? Need you butt buddies to help you in fights?" as he said it the classroom door opened up. A medium sized female woman in a yellow blouse and black dress walked in. Her black hair flowed behind her. She turned to see the group of boys and immediately shouted out.
"Kawabara, Tsutari! Mind taking your seat?! The rest of you! In your seats! Now!" she said sighing. The bully looked at her and growled under his breath. He looked down at Kazuma. "After school, your ass is mine!" he sat in the front and his lackies sat around him. The teacher sighed.
"I am your instructor for this year..." she began writing on the board, her name. "I am Mio Hatsune. Say the title please class."
The class all said in sync, "Hatsune Sensei." and she nodded, "Thank you all. Now, we will all introduce ourselves. How about..." she began before the door slid open to reveal two more girls. Both, twins. They stepped inside and bowed. As they rose their eyes met with Ms. Hatsune. The one with short hair had crimson red-eyes, the one with long flowing hair, bright blue-eyes.
The one with short hair looked at her and laughed nervously. "Im sorry! We got a bit lost on the way here!" she said trying not to blush. The long haired one looked away from everyone, including the teacher. The instructor smiled, "It's quite alright! We were just about to introduce ourselves. Why don't you two start." she said nodding.
The girl bowed, "Oh ok!" she turned to the class and bowed, and stood straight. "My name is Willow Kustenaga. I just moved to town with my dad and my sister!" she said pulling her quiet sister forward. "Now, go ahead Sanya..." she whispered to her sister who was red. She spoke quietly as she could make it without having to repeat herself.
"I-I... My name is... Im Sanya Kutsenaga... I am Willow's twin sister..." she said and they looked at Hatsune Sensei and she nodded, "Welcome girls! Take a seat... In the back. Those desks seem open. They made their way to the back and as they passed Kazuma's bully, he stuck his foot out, tripping Sanya. The class, excluding the new students sitting in the back, laughed and made Sanya start tearing up. Kazuma looked in disgust and mad his way over to the girl. He kneeled down and held out his hand. "C'mon, don't let them get to ya." he said smiling.
She looked at his hand and pulled herself up without taking it. She rushed past him and sat in her seat as her sister sat next to her, eyes closed. Her brow was in negative status. Showing that she was obviously upset by the action. Kazuma nervously sat back down and shrugged.
Hana looked over at the new girls and sighed. She knew how they felt being new in the school and all. She looked at Lilith and frowned. "Maybe we should sit with them at lunch today... We are the new kids too..."
Kazuma looked at her and smiled, "Yeah, shes right you know... We are new too..."
As he said it Sensei Hatsune looked at Jayden and smiled, "Ok, How about you. Introduce yourself please."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tori sat in front of the man he believed escaped from the clutches of the Guardians. "Now, don't think I am here to bring you pack Professor. But, Placid needs his testing and you are the one to do it. In fact you ARE the only one to do it. I haven't seen my family in 10 years because I have been looking for you. It angers me to know you were right under my nose. Now, all I ask is just to come back with your... Daughters... and just continue your work."
The man sat across laughing with a lit cigarette in his hand. "You take me as some form of a fool? Mr. Liwa, you may be here off the record but I know once you take me back I will be incarcerated like my son." he looked up and frowned. "Now, you can leave me be. I don't want to return... In fact. Why don't you stay awhile? Have some tea with me..." as he said it he threw a syringe at Tori, the syringe then sunk its fluid into him and he growled.
"The hell?!" he said moaning, he gasped. Professor Diabound watched and smiled at the transformation of Torimichu came to place. "Now now, Mr. Liwa... Let it do its job... Let Thanatos speak with me..." he said as a metallic-esqe creature stood in front of Diabound. Its head was large and had no mouth to show. It almost resembled a lizard of sorts. its arms were armored and had long claws. Is feet almost looked skeletal and it had a meduim flowing tail. Its corners had glowing purple neon and its eyes did the same. It looked at its current form and its voice was a garbled mess of noise. Almost like hearing someone make fake words underwater and someone hearing them underwater.
It looked up and made a noise directed at Diabound. "Now now, your forme is because you are one with this peon... What I injected him with was a serum to help you make the deafult soul in that body..." he said sipping more tea. "I have a proposal for you my friend... You are a being of magnificent power... However..." he said glaring at the monster in front of him. "You are not 'All-Mighty' as you think you are. You only have a fraction of the power of Nocturne and alone you wouldn't have been able to defeat him..."
The creature looked away and made more noise, as if it was formed into a question. "Ah, why did I call you here? I want revenge... Pure revenge on those who wronged me. The only one who can do it is you. But, we need ingredients for this little pot of stew to be... tasty..." he sipped another gulp and smiled, "I need you to be my little strong arm until the final act, then you will be the strongest being in existence..." the creature garbled more noise and Diabound smiled.
"The first ingredient? Why... My son of course..."

Lillith had been glaring at the bullies since they started picking a fight with Kazuma. She didn't say a word, she rarely did. But when she did people usually listened. Then again, she had never been in school before. But she didn't care. She had went to ignoring everyone else except their small group when she recognized her mothers friend Mio walk in. She didn't say anything, but she was suprised to know that she was a teacher here. When she addressed her brother, her and her brother stood up and bowed respectfully at the same time.
"Lillith Origawa."
"Jayden Origawa. I am Lillith's Twin brother. Our mother runs the Origawa Shrine."
Then they both sat down quietly.

After Lilith and Jaydens introduction, the girls and the bullies group whispered amongst themselves again. One girl even mentioned some fake stories she had heard around town. "Origawa shrine? I heard it was like a satanic place or something. Like something aint right about it!" another girl spoke again after her and giggled, "I heard that the shrine was like some old world portal that was evil or something. Sounds fake!"
Hatsune Sensei smiled at the Origawa twins and nodded, "Thank you! Now, how about... You. Liwa, Kazuma." her voice almost sounding excited. Kazuma smiled and stood up, almost like he was born to be at the center of the spotlight. "Ah, I get to talk about myself? Sweet! Well, lets start of by saying that I, Kazuma Liwa, am indeed single..." he said chuckling as he winked at the group of girls who in turned smiled and waved his direction. Hatsune Sensei sighed and laughed, "Thank you Kazuma, please take your seat."
Kazuma smiled while Hana sighed and huffed out a 'oh brother' remark. Sensei smiled as she called out Hana's name, "Liwa, Hana." she said almost as the same tone as Kazuma's. Hana gulped in a heap of giddiness and stood up. "Well, um, Im Hana Liwa, Kazuma's older sister buy 4 months... We live in the mansion down the road and this is our first year in an actual school. So, um... Yeah." she said sitting back down. Hatsune Sensei nodded as she clasped her hands together, "Well, that was just top notch! All of you are just wonderful!" she said looking up at the clock. "Well now, as you all know today is a half day due to it being the first day and all. So, in about 30 minutes the bell for lunch will chime and you may all make your way to your lunch spots!"
The class chattered among themselves while Hana sat thinking about the way Willow and Sanya made their intros. They were twins yet polar opposites. Almost similar to Jayden and Lilith. Willow had moved over into the desk in front of Hana and sighed, "Hey there..." she said looking at the group she had sat near. Kazuma nodded and Hana smiled, "How are you? Willow right?"
Willow smiled and nodded, "Yes, so someone remembers my name for once. What a relief! You all are new to this school too right?" she said it while fixing her glasses and smiling. Hana nodded as she moved her hair behind her, "Yes we are actually, since we all were I was actually going to ask if you and your sister wanted to eat lunch with us. We could use more friendly people around!" she said looking a bit nervous. Willow grinned and took one of Hana's hands, "Really?! That'd be fun! Of course we will join you! Right Sanya?" she asked and Sayna sunk into her seat. "Y-yes..." she said looking away.
Willow gave a half frown and sighed, "Sorry, shes a bit... Well, shes scared of everything. Its a long story. But, Maybe with new friends she will be a bit more... Um... Talkative!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Placid sat in a cell, barred with metal bound by holy forces. He sighed as his eyes moved back in forth scanning the bars as a means of entertainment. Footsteps rang through the halls until stopping at the cell door. "I hate seeing you like this son..." the person said. Placid looked up and gave a half smile, "Grand... It's not your fault... Don't feel bad..."
The man sighed and rubbed his head while leaning on the bars, "Yeah, but it isn't your fault either. They used you like a tool and now they are making you no more than a caged animal..." he said it with such disdain that Placid looked almost upset by it. "Grand, you shouldn't let things like this, especially me, effect your duties as the general. Stay focused sir!"
Grand chuckled and smiled, "Well, that may be true but not everyone can be stone cold like you can my boy. You make such the perfect listener though. I will be back later to give you more company until then stay pu-... What the hell...?" he said as sirens ran through the complex at loud tones. Angels ran through the corridors screaming about a intruder, "Something in the courtyard just incapped several A-Class Guardians! All hands down there now!"
Grand gasped and looked through a barred window down into the courtyard below. There stood a creature black as night. It looked up and saw Grand and then looked around as soldier surrounded it. A woman officer stood in front and addressed the creature. "You there! You are hereby under arrest for assaulting superior officers of the Guardians! If you do not stand down you will be executed on the spot! Do you comply!? "
The creature crouched down, almost feral looking like it were to pounce on any of the soldiers around it. "I said stand DOWN!" the officer shouted again, as she said it the creature leapt int o the exact wall as Grand's vantage point. The creature as used so much force it seemed like a bomb had gone off in the complex, causing Placids cell to become ripped open. Grand laid on the ground.
"Grand!" Placid said as the creature stepped forward. Its noises ran through Placids ears. His eyes grew in fear. He was able to understand it.
'You are the ingredient needed, meals cannot tae good. Yet. More ingredients needed. Main ingredient... Obtained.'
"What the hell are you?!" he said as the creature smacked him in the head then grabbing him. Angels had flown up into position to watch the creature leap down into the courtyard again. They surrounded it by air and ground and then started prepping for attack. The creature roared and its claws glew, Placid being in one, screamed as the light glowed around him and stole away energy. The creature roared again and a giant pulse of black energy shot out and struck each Guardian and caused them to collapse. Each, screaming in agony. Grand watched as Placid was then carried of by this dangerous creature and he spoke.
"No... Not again..."

Lillith hadn't payed attention to the bullies at all, though she saw Jayden shooting people dirty looks as though he was going to start a murderous rampage. Jayden was always very protective of his mother, even if he never understood the importance of the shrine until recently. Lillith, on the other hand, had always had a special connection to her father, even though she had no memories of him. Sometimes she could feel things, random bits of pain, random feelings, that she thought were possibly him, but she never mentioned it to her mother. She didn't want to worry her. But it made her worry a bit. She was getting one of those feelings again, except this time it was a sense of complete and utter urgency, and fear. She frowned a little, barely noticing as Willow had moved to a seat near them. Her red eyes flashed as she looked at them, feeling somewhat antisocial at the moment. Plus she wasn't sure, but something about them was a little... strange. She kept getting a strange feeling from them and she didn't know why, but it felt... familiar.
Jayden laughed as he listened to Willow's introduction. "Sounds a bit familiar..." as he glanced over at his twin, who was glaring out the window at something, he had no idea what. "Lillith never talks either, difference is she's not afraid of anything. She'll damn near tear the head off a lion if given a reason to." and he laughed. Lillith glared at him, her red eyes looking a mix of angry and worried before she went back to staring out of the window. Jayden saw the worry in her eyes, but shrugged it off. He never quite understood his twin.
----------------------------------------------
Nuriko stood around, her midnight blue eyes looking at the remnants of the cell that Placid was being held in. She was standing before Grand, looking slightly worried. Though she could guess what had happened without even asking him, she stood there silently looking around, thinking to herself. There were a few angels who had heard rumors about her gawking outside the hole in the wall before hurrying off to get back to work. A few of the guards kept eyeing her suspiciously. She looked back at Grand solemnly.
"So Tori has been missing for nearly 10 years, and now this. Do you think they are connected?"

Willow giggled at Jayden's remarks to his sister. "Wow, she seems so strong... Like... I don't know how to say it." she said giving a nervous chuckle. Hana nodded and smiled, "That's our Lili for you, she may seem cold but deep down shes pretty soft and cuddley!"
Kazuma smiled at the comment while looking outside. Before to long he noticed something on the Town Square's clock tower. It was a black figure, almost unable to be described due to its distance. Kazuma stood up and got closer to the window, squinting tring to identify this new ornament on the tower.
"What is that...?" and as he spoke, it vanished in a split second, leaving no trace it was ever there. Kazuma gave a small gasp and backed up, "What in the world was that...?" he said quietly.
Willow looked at him and smiled, "So Kazuma, tell me about yourself. Whats life been like doing your work for school, at home all your life?" she said it and he kept scanning the outside area, hoping he could get a glimpse of whatever was on the tower. Hana turned to him and noticed his slight discomfort.
"Kazu...?" she said, Willow leaned over to peek out the window and became confused, "Whatcha looking at?" she asked standing up and taking his arm. "You alright?" she said smiling and blushing a bit. Meanwhile, Sanya watched him quietly from across the room blushing herself. Also, she became aware of what was going on as the lunch bell rang and snapped out of it.
"Oh... Uh... um.... Should we go eat now...?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grand was sitting on a heavily damaged fountain as Nuriko scanned the area then asked him her question. He sighed and shook his head. He looked at her and his face grew grim.
"That thing... It looked at me right in my eyes... I have been afraid of fighting battles, alot, but this thing... It felt like my very soul was being glared into and eaten at... I have never been afraid of anything like I was today." he said looking down at the rubble beneath him. "I failed in protecting Placid as well. I failed him, you, and even my son..." he said closing his eyes. He looked up at her and sighed again.
"As to give you an answer, it is possible the two are connected. But, the question is, also, is how and why?" he stood up looking at the damage that creature caused and the lives it took. There were scorch marks everywhere that creature used its dark pulse attack, leavings a makeshift signature.
"That creature used Placid as a weapon... Drained his energy and used it against us. But, how...?" he asked as the Captain from the fight made her way to Grand.
"Sir! There were 15 confirmed deaths. We are at a loss sir." she said lowering her head in shame. Grand shook his head and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Now now, Elise... This wasn't your fault." he said looking at the gates entrance. "I want to know how he managed to get here without being detected."
This officer, Elise Anawa, nodded. "Sir, we detected no foreign energy. We checked every piece of tech and this thing gave off 0% holy or satanic energies. But we did get a reading of something we don't recognize..." she said showing him a small computer screen, with a black and white scan of the monster, it looked like heat vision, but, in black and white.
"This was used to help scan Placid sir. As far as we know Placid was CREATED and not born like the rest of us. We gave him a code name after Diabound escaped. We called him 'Project Paradisium'. This scan reads entities that only fit HIS description... But... Well, look sir..."
she became worried as she held the screen to grand and Nuriko, the being shown was extruding in a black aura as the rest was white around him. "What does this mean Captain?" he said grimly. She looked scared as she looked him in the eyes.
"He is another Paradisium, sir."

Mihari felt a strange darkness coming from near the clock tower, and looked just in time to see the black figure before it dissapeared. She had no idea what it was, but something was drawing her towards it. She ran, still in her robes, to the clock tower, to find Nuriko standing in front of it, looking at the spot where the man had been. She looks very frustrated. She stood there staring at the tower before Mihari walked up to her to see what was going on. Nuriko didn't look at her, just stood there staring at the clock tower before finally saying something.
"He's been taken."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lillith had been staring at the black shape on the clock tower since it showed up, even after it dissapeared she continued to stare at where it was. She didn't know what it was, but she was getting this feeling from there. She stood up, not really paying much attention to the rest of them, and left the room, running out of the classroom and down the hall toward the exit of the building. There was a strange feeling of urgency guiding her, and she had no idea where she was going. She didn't even stop to see if anyone was following her, just ran. She stopped in front of the tower, staring up at the spot where it was, barely noticing that Mihari and Nuriko were standing not too far from where she stopped.

Hana noticed Lilith's sudden outburst of running and took off running after her. "Lili! Wait up! C'mon! Its only lunch! Whats the... *huff* rush?!" she said stopping with her as they hit the town square. "Hey... Geez... You can run...? I wouldn't have figured you could run like THAT..."
Hana caught her breath only to notice Lilith in a type of trance. Her attention fully on the clock tower. She looked almost anxious, as if she was missing something important. Hana waved a hand in front of her and looked at her face, "Lili? Hey are you okay? Hello-o-o-ooo?" she said almost confused. As she said it Kazuma and the others caught up and caught theri breath as well.
"Hey! You coulda told us you were just gonna run off without us!" Kazuma shouted as he saw Hana's face, it looked upset. "Whats wrong Hana? Something up?" Hana turned and looked back at Lilith, only to say nothing. "Lili... Talk to us..."
Kazuma looked up as everyone seemed to enjoy doing at that current moment. He froze as he felt like a familiar presence overtook him. It was something raw and harsh. As if he had been hit with it. It was sharp like a bat full of nails, like a midevial flail, or even the touch of death itself.
'What... What's going on?!' he said as he saw the sky, black as night, filled with clouds of pure disdain. A figure loomed in the distance, taller than any building he had ever read about or seen. It's face was that of the skull of a bird, a vulture perhaps. Its arms spanned longer than the entire islands width 3 times over. It then roared and spoke a language he hadn't heard before, but its voice rang and peirced his ears with the fear it called for.
"הכאב של כל בני התמותה יובא למציאות וקרקע תקוותיהם לעפר! הסיוטים הגרועים ביותר שלך תחמם אותך כטעם הקר של פחד צורכת העולם הזה תחת השלטון שלי! ברוכים הבאים לעולם שלי! ברוכים הבאים לממלכה של גן עדן! חהחהחה!" The creature shouted as screams of innocent people rang through the air. Buildings toppled as the creature laughed maniacally as the creatures he seemed to rule over grabbed several people and tore them limb from limb. Kazuma watched in horror as the creature looked down at him and Kazuma froze in pure terror as he witnessed what he now knew was complete and utter fear. The beings eyes shined azure blue as the brightest star imaginable, then it lunged forward leading his claws forward.
"Kazuma!" a voice rang as he screamed. He flinched and opened his eyes to see everyone except Lilith staring at him. He turned around and looked all over the place. "Wha-?! How?! What the hell was that?!" he screamed all over as he did he saw his mother and stared in disdain as turned away.
'I... what...?! Whats happening?! what did I just see?!' he said as he turned around to run home and stopped dead in his tracks. On the schools rooftop stood the creature. It looked down upon them and roared, ending his roar with a sound similar to a hiss. Kazuma looked at it and looked into what looked like its eyes and froze again, but not in fear....
--------------------------------------------
"Hehe! Hey daddy! Pick me up! Haha!" the child yelled as his father swept him up. "haha! okay okay! There! You're up now, happy?" The fathers purple hair fluttered as the boy messed with it and the giggled, "Aw man c'mon Kazu! Your daddy's hair is important! Now messing with it! Haha!"
As he said that, he put the boy on his shoulders and ran around and the child giggled.
"Kazuma.... Your sister.... The bond..."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kazuma shook his head and looked at the being and it hissed again. But, it said something in the same language as the other from the hallucination.
"תעזור לי, בבקשה. הכאב הזה. זה בלתי נסבל. בבקשה, יציל אותי." it said, dissapearing as fast as it had arrived. Kazuma stood up and looked around at his friends who, all except Lilith, were staring at him. Hana looked her brother in the eyes and saw pure pain and fear.
'Kazu... I know you saw it too... The destruction of the island... Now you know what dreams I have had for the last 3 years...' she thought as she looked to see if the creature had left, as she looked up she had confirmed its absence and looked at the clock tower in fear.
"What's going on?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So... It has been brought to my attention you made a visit to the Tower. Why?" Diabound said as the creature stood over Placid's unconscious body. "Do tell me that this will be your LAST intrusion on our little deal. I will NOT have any more problems will I?"
The being stood and the noise it used as a form of language rang. "הלכתי לראות את הילדים האלה. אלה שנולדו מהמלאכים ושל הבן שלך." it said, as if though fluid filled its lungs. Diabound shook his head in disgust.
"Those children are not of your concern. Remember, that the body you now control is YOURS. feeling sorry for that fool you control will cloud further judgement. If you don't learn to stow its properties it could turn hazardous to you and our plan. Understand?" he said picking up Placid from the stone floor.
The area was filled with Gothic-style art yet, keeping to a semi-Japanese architecture. The building they were in had edgings all over the walls as the two current conscious beings stood looking at the large machine before them. The creature made more noise as Diabound set up Placid into the machines stasis tube.
"What is it? I call is a Spirit Breaker..." Diabound sayed smiling. "You see the platform its on? It holds something that we need... Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi." Diabound laughed as he turned to his 'partner', clasping his hands together. "The Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven... Its quite the blade I am told... However, there is quite a few falsehoods of the blade. Nobody seems to know that the blade is in fact EVIL..."
The creature tilts its head and questions Diabound with an unsure sound. Diabound, chuckling at the questions at hand, smiled, "Why? Because it was crafted BY Nocturne. The blade was named after the cataclysm and it was sealed here by some foolhardy General in the Guardians. This seal hid the blade in a unreachable plane of existence and could only be broken by the blood of my son." Diabound chuckled and broke into a slight laughter, "The sword can break any and all seals made to lock Nocturne away! Then, we can give the blade to our friend and get the gifts we all deserve! Ultimate power!" The creature roared as Diabound broke into maniacal laughter. It hunched over into a stationary position and watched as Diabound stepped away from the machine.
"Now..." Diabound said as he turned to the creature, "Shall we begin... Thanatos?"

Post by Nuriko, Lillith, Adrianne on Sept 10, 2013 8:18:52 GMT -5
Nuriko looked at the figure on the school, feeling an overwhelming urge to cry as she looked at it. At the same time, she felt something inside her stir that she had not felt since she had possession of Thanatos. It was the reason she was given thanatos, because only she had the means to subdue and control him. She had been deeply afraid that giving him over to Tori would cause problems, and it seemed her suspicions were right. She brushed her black hair out of her eyes, her midnight blue flashing as she gazed at the tower.
"So... that explains a great deal." Nuriko closed her eyes, looking sad, but at the same time, as if she understood everything that was going on. She had felt 3 presences, all of which felt familiar, and made her incredibly sad. "I understand now. It must have been diabound, that dirty, cunniving little... but why Placid. What does he have..." and her eyes grew wide. In all her years she had heard legends of the sword, but few knew its true history. As the guardian of the shrine that locked him away, she kept tabs on everything that had to do with him, including the sword that he had created. It was a sword of pure evil, and was locked away by the guardians ages ago. "No... this is bad..." she looked around at the group of people, taking in Mihari, Lillith, Jayden, and her two children, who seemed to be just as effected by this as Lillith, though in a different way. She looked at the other two children, taking in their features. The silver hair made her wonder, especially when she saw the crimson red eyes. She looked between Lillith and the Willow, taking in the similarities.
"So that's what they've been doing to him up there." she shrugged. "Can't blame them. This is getting complicated. But he always has a plan, so what does he have planned for you two?" she asked outloud, though it seemed like it was more to herself than anything.
Mihari looked at her, afraid to break her concentration, but seriously confused. "What's going on Mrs. Genius..." The question startled Nuriko back to reality, as she had taken to pacing back and forth, mumbling to herself. She looked at Mihari, then back to the rest, who seemed to be staring at her.
"We've been trying to figure things out for a few years now. We had been allowed to visit Placid here and there, until we were turned away, Diabound claimed it was disturbing his work. Nobody knew what was really going on in there, but apparently he had been using Placid to create these two. Though I haven't figured out why yet. So Diabound leaves with the two, and Placid gets taken into custody. Around the same time Tori 'dissapeared.' But I think i know why he left. He was hunting down Diabound. What he didn't know was Diabound didn't have Placid at that time, and he had walked right into a trap. Diabound is trying to join Thanatos with Nocturne, and needs Placid's blood to unlock the barrier on Nocturnes sword, which is why he took Placid. He wrecked the guardian's base and took him."
Mihari sighed, shaking her head. Nuriko sighed. "I told him not to go, but does he listen? No. Men, I swear."
Lillith stood there, not quite in a trance anymore, but listening to everything that was going on, understanding it. It explained why she felt something strange about the twins. It explained why she kept feeling random bits of stuff from her father. She sighed, closing her eyes and returning to her normal cold emotionless expression.

Willow and Sanya had left during the commotion and headed toward their fathers new lab. It was inside the furthest reaching cavern in the volcano. Inside the cave was the ruins in which his experiments warped their minds. Sanya seemed saddened by the thoughts of what could have happened so long ago. While she felt sorry for herself, Willows attitude changed from friendly and spunky, to quite angry. "Stupid fool! That damned Harbringer is going to blow our cover!" she said going inside the cavern. She entered the main chamber, to her surprise, her brother had been out cold from before. Thanatos stood above them on what he made as a makeshift perch. Willow looked up at him and tossed a nearby stone at him.
"You idiot! Are you TRYING to blow our cover!?" she said growling almost. Sanya held her arms close to her and whimpered, "S-Stop sister! Please! Don't yell! It wasn't all his fault!" she said knowing it was. Sanya looked at her father who had turned to them and smiled.
"Now now, Willow don't scold our friend. He and I had such a lengthy discussion about that already. Now... Tell me. Have you made nice with the local brats?" he said scoffing at his own words. Willow flipped her hair and grinned, "We did. However, I thought the silver haired one would have caught on to us. Well, only because Sanya won't hold her power back!" she said looking at her sister who at that point hid her face.
"I-I am sorry Willow! Honest! I tried to hide the energy but I couldn't hold it for long! Its to strong!" she said almost in tears. Diabound smiled and grabbed a trinket from the table. He stepped down from the altar and placed it around Sanya's neck. He hugged her and spoke calmly into her ear.
"Not to worry my dear, this should help with that. It was a token of your mothers. It should help with energy spikes...." he said ending the talk with words of depression. Willow sneered her fathers gift and looked away. Sanya looked at the trinket only to see that it was a locket. Containing a picture of what looked like Her father and a very beautiful woman. Sanya stared at the woman and smiled deeply.
"Father, who is this woman? Shes pretty..." Sanya said looking into the woman's eyes. Diabound let her go and smiled. Moving Sanya's hair from her face and walking away.
"That woman is your mother girls... Her name is Adrianne... She passed away during the Nocturne fiasco..." He said walking back to the atler and typing info into a nearby console. He sighed as the two girls looked into the locket. Willow looked back up at her father and sighed.
"Well, are you gonna tell us what happened?" she said almost having an attitude about it. Diabound stopped typing only to look up a bit and sighing. He removed his glasses and clinched his eyes. He sighed once more as he remembered that day...
"Well..." he began, "Where should I start...?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Several hours had passed and the night sky filled the islands skyline with beautiful scenery. Hana sat on the fountain and watched as the stars shined before her. She loved looking at the stars. Most of her songs she wrote for the band she was a part of came from the sky. She smiled but then tears ran down her face.
"Why does my heart feel torn in two...?" she said curling up and holding her knees. She held her head into her knees and sobbed a bit, not even knowing why. A breeze slightly blew until she heard a faint voice. It almost called to her like it was high up or a long distance away.
"Where....is....every...? Pain.... so... lonesome.... why...?" is said as Hana jumped up and looked around her. She looked all over before calling out to it. "Hello...?" she said calmly as the wind stopped, the air felt thick now. Almost as if it were soup.
"H-Hello?" she called again nervously. "The.... Pain.... so lonely.... heart.... break..." it rang again. Hana became afraid before she recognized the voice. It was her own. She then paid close attention. "What...? Was I hearing myself? Was that just my imagination?" she said to herself as another wind blew but with it a different voice whispered.
"You feel so alone... Nobody understands your pain... Not even you..." it said almost mockingly. Hana looked around again and turned to see a figure near a line of trees leading to a nursery area behind the manor. "Wait!" she called before taking off after it, "Who are you!?" she said before tripping into a pitfall of sorts.
She awoke minutes later in what looked like a ruin of some sort. A fountain laid in its center, in in its center, a pedestal. The fountains water was murky and seemed thick. Hana rose to her feet and walked forward, calling out to the person who had caught her eye before.
"Hello? Are you here? Who are you?" she said looking at the pedestal at the center. It had an object on it and she became curious. As she moved forward she felt almost sad, even depressed. The voice rang through the room as she walked forward.
"I am that in which gives you the strength to go further...." it said as Hana moved closer. The voice was that of a female, though, Hana couldn't place whose voice it was. "Who are you? Whats your name?" she called as she stopped due to the incredible energy the object on the pedestal gave off. Hana couls see now what it was. "Is that... a heart?" she said forcing herself to her feet.
"It is...." the voice rang again, "Its the only thing I have to give you..." Hana managed to make it atop of the pedestal and noticed a large crack down the middle. "This heart is broken..." she said looking at it, she looked around again and spoke.
"Who are you? Answer!" she said as the voice breathed a sigh out to her, "You will know if you touch the stone..." Hana looked around and she grasped the heart-shaped stone and a huge power illuminated her body and the whole room. The voice grew in volume as the noises of the energy flew from the fountain.
"I am known as the remains of torn souls... what is left of a grand home... the remnants of shattered dreams... The shroud of a lasting memory..." it said as Hana tried to scream in pain as the energy flew through her, consuming her.
"Who am I...? I AM THE PERFECT LIE."
As the voice said its final breath of words Hana jolted up screaming. She had a hold of her chest and was sobbing hard. Only seconds later Kazuma burst through the door and ran to his sister, "Hana?! Hey hey... whats going on?" he said holding her close. Belmonte had walked in in a rush and looked at Kazuma and gave a look of concern and confusion. Kazuma shrugged, and awaited his sisters answer.
"I... I don't know what it was... It was a nightmare I think... but my chest hurts alot..." she said as Kazuma turned and grabbed her arm. "You can feel this right?" he said, she looked at him and nodded, "Yes, I don't think I am having a heart attack if that iss what you are wondering..." she looked up to see Belmonte in the doorway, and looked him in the eye. "Can you get my mom please...?" she said at a whimper and he nodded, making his way back downstairs to the den. He walked in, "Uh, Nuriko? Hana awoke from a nightmare... I think."
He shifted, almost as if someone dropped an ice cube down his shirt. He remembered how Hana and Kazuma both are descendants of Tori and Nuriko alike. So could he be witnessing what its like to inheret a Harbringer Spirit? He spoke, gulping at the thought.
"I feel a bit of raw energy around though... Do you think she was...chosen by someone?"
