Nuriko undid her black sweatshirt as a night breeze blew by her, blowing her checkered miniskirt in the wind slightly. It was rather warm out for being mid spring. She looked out over the forest, the full moon coating the island in moonlight. Her face was calm, her eyes thoughtful. She smirked for a moment as a thought crossed her mind. She pulled her sweatshirt off, dropping it on the ground next to her and adjusting her black tank top. She had been spending all her time reading over her old research notes and thinking back to when Nuriko was young. Diabounds experiments on Placid...
Placid...
She grinned some more. The old fool never realized how much power emotion gave you. He was so obsessed with maintaining control, and emotions made that difficult. Emotions made one... unpredictable.
Her thoughts fell back on Placid. She hadn't seen him all week, but she hadn't seen anyone all week. Only two people knew of her hideout. And she liked it that way. That way she didn't have people poking around, worrying about what she was doing, or why. She knew if Placid wanted to find her, he could. So she waited.

Placid walked through the town square, a thin white hoodie covering him and the hood on his head. The area was quieter than usual, as most of the shops were shutting down for the night or had completely shut down earlier. He was coming near the maid cafe when the the glow of the lights began to dim until they went off completely; leaving the glow of the outside light only. When he came close to the door, it opened and exited three women who were dressed in civilian attire. The manager, a waitress, and Aniko. "Ok, girls. I will see you both tomorrow!" the manager said locking the door. The waitress laughed and went off toward the nearby suburb. Aniko smiled and went to walk toward the apartments. Thats when she saw Placid coming closer.
"Oh, hey Pla-..." she said nervously as he passed her, not even looking at her. She looked at her coworkers, who were already far enough away, then, back to Placid. He had made it about 10 yards away before she swallowed. She glanced around to ensure she wasn't being watched. Then, she followed him from a distance, using the shadows to her advantage. They reached the edge of the woods in a matter of minutes, then, Placid stopped. He glared and shut his eyes. Then, swiftly he turned around and looked behind him. He glared angrily only to find that there wasn't anyone around him. "Something... stinks..." he said turning around and walking into the woods. Aniko emerged from behind a nearby building that served as a rest stop for hikers, and eyed him cautiously.
"Where are you going...?" she said to herself. She looked side to side before following him into the woods. At this point, the thickness of the leaves blocked out the moonlight, making it harder for her to see him from a distance, making her worried. "Damn, if I don't keep up..." she thought to herself before moving beyond a tree. That's when she noticed he wasn't in front of her line of sight anymore. "Damn! where did he go?" she said to herself. Then, she noticed a red glow emitting from behind her. She swallowed and slowly turned her head to see a glowing pair of red eyes.
"I am right here..." Placid said reaching for her mouth. Then, Aniko fainted, causing Placid to prepare her for Nuriko.
He dragged her through the woods, making his way to the usual meeting spot. Then, he saw Nuriko. "It appears we have a little mouse trying to play a game of hide and seek with me." he said tossing the girl a few feet in front of him. Her mouth had been taped shut, and her arms tied behind her back and her legs tied together. She was stuck, but, she was awake. She looked at him in fear, not sure who or what he was talking to. She squirmed, then, he stepped on her head and applied minor pressure. "Quit moving... The last thing a fly should do while in the spiders web, is wiggle..." he said looking up toward Nuriko.
"So, what would you recommend we do with this issue?"

Nuriko listened to the commotion occuring behind her, rather amused at how everything was coming together. She grinned a little, turning toward the two.
"No need to be so rough with her, she is like my little sister after all..." She chuckled as she kneeled in front of the girl, brushing her hand gently across the girls face. Her smile widened ever so slightly as she gazed intently into Aniko's eyes long enough for her eyes to flash blue for a split second. She stood up quickly after that, crossing her arms and gazing back to Placid. "It won't matter for long, anyways. The timing is... well... perfect." She grinned, walking up to Placid and running her fingers across his chest gingerly.
"What do you say? Should we move this forward a bit? Take our fun to the next level?" She looked rather calm, if not slightly on the excited side. But a breeze had picked up around them, feeling strongly of Nuriko's energy, which was alot stronger and felt heavier than usual.

Plcid smiled and Aniko looked at them in horror. She began to squirm and wiggle, trying to break free of her binds. Placid grabbed her and tossed her over his shoulders. "Hush now, you are going to be witnessing a worthy cause. Well, more like being a part of one..." he said smirking. She saw his eyes and her entire body froze, her mind flashed with visions of the past. It showed her Placid and his calm and collected appearance, something his entire personality fit around. He looked like he wouldn't harm a fly! "Placid... What is going on?!" she thought then looking to Nuriko. Her energy was different, very off-putting. This change felt radical almost, a complete shift from what she was used to. But, she had felt this type of energy before. This energy, it flowed negatively. She only knew one person who had energy flowing like that.
Noxious.
Her eyes teared up and she went limp, not sure what was going on. "There is something wrong but I... I con't... she thought looking back up to see the faint shimmer of moonlight. "I... I can do this..." she thought. She squirmed fiercely, slamming the side of her head into Placid's face. He grunted and dropped her, allowing her so shift and grab his leg. "Kikin! DRAIN! she shouted internally, making a slight glow form around Placid. He grunted loudly and fell to his knees. She had drained his energy and allowed it to be poured into her own strength. This allowed her to rip and break the bindings free. She jumped up and took off in a sprint.
"I can't believe that worked!" she said looking behind her, only to see that Placid had vanished. She turned to see him, looking extremely angry. He reared back his fist and brought it forward, slamming it right into her stomach. Her eyes grew, then shut. She hacked and coughed up some blood and flew several feet backward. "That is because... IT DIDN'T." he said walking up to her, grabbing her by the throat.
"I made it VERY clear! The last thing you want to do now is WIGGLE." he said slamming her head against the ground. "Now, do me a favor. Stay OUT this time!" and with that he let go and punched her in the side of the head, knocking her out cold. He stood up and wiped his nose, to only find out he wasn't harmed, just pissed off. He grabbed her by her hair, dragging her. He looked to Nuriko, irritated as all hell.
"C'mon, let's get this over with!"

Nuriko was surprised that Aniko had managed to get herself free from Placid, but at the same time, she wasn't. Crybaby she might be, but she had to have been good for something, or she would never have made it as far as she did in training. She watched as Placid retrieved her, knocked out. He looked rather aggravated, whereas Nuriko looked completely blank. She looked at Placid for a moment before turning back to watch the full moon. She watched as the moon reached its peak in the sky, feeling her power steadily increasing. She closed her eyes, basking in it. She then opened her eyes again, her eyes black as the void. She turned and walked straight to placid, and as their bodies collided, she dissolved into a cloud of dark energy, which spun around Placid until his body had fully absorbed her.
Feel it...

As she filled into him, he choked. Falling to his hands and knees. He grunted as he could feel Thanatos and her making their way into his inner areas. The areas that held Harbringers, Thanatos had made one of his slots filled. He struggled, grunting loudly in pain. "W-What... W-What is the meaning of this...!?" he said before hearing her voice. His eyes opened, then, he stood up. He smiled then turned to Aniko, his eyes had turned midnight blue. "Oh, I see... Making me do all the work huh? Well, at least you are giving me the right tools..." he said reaching for Aniko. As he touched her, he looked in shock as her body began to turn into dust, then collapsed on itself. "What the...?! A decoy?!" he said looking around to see her a few yards away, her head was bruised severely and her nose was bleeding. "I don't know what is going on with you but... I won't let you get away with whatever it is you are planning!" she said before her eyes began to change color. They began to shift into a shade of green, then, began to glow. "I can't allow this!" she said preparing herself. Placid smiled and chuckled.
"Oh? Have you not noticed how frail you are? When you grabbed me, you had no idea how much energy you were really taking from me. You see, I had a reserve. Parshath is more than happy to lend me anything without asking." he said smugly. Aniko looked shocked, "P-Parshath?!" she said looking irritated. "Stop lying! Parshath isn't here anymore, he was with Tori when he..." she said looking away. Placid smiled, raising his arms wide, then, his arms began to change. His right was a white, metallic arm. The left was a clawed, black arm that gave off black energy. She looked in horror, seeing two different energy wavelengths.
"What is that second wavelength?!" she said looking around, she noticed Nuriko was gone. "Where is my sister?!" she shouted looking at Placid. He looked at her, grinning like a devil. "Where do you think she is?!" he said raising his left arm into a firing position. "Now, be a good girl and sleep for me!" he shouted as his arm began to glow. Then, he fired a long beam of energy, slamming right into the Area Aniko was in, then splitting into two separate directions, sending wood and dirt flying. Placid looked forward and grunted, "So, you did decide to show your face!" he said as the dirt began to clear. In front of Aniko, stood Kaiden, holding a black shield in front of him. Aniko looked at him in shock and sighed. "Thanks Kaiden..." she said swallowing. "How did you..?" she asked looking at him wondering how he got there.
"I could feel this energy from miles away. Nobody besides Noxious can pull this much energy at once, not without help. he said looking back at her. "You ok?" he said, her nodding. "The knight in shining armor makes his appearance. Typical!" he said cupping his hands together. "Kaiden this and Kaiden that!" he said becoming more irritated. "If you want to die for getting in my way, then, so be it!" he said about to charged another blast. But, he stopped, his eyes fluxuated, and his head began to pound. "G-Gah! WHAT IS...?!" he shouted holding his head and falling to his knees. "...F-Fine!" he said standing up slowly. He looked at Kaiden and growled. Then, dashed forward, he threw a punch. Kaiden dodged, but, then noticed Placid's other arm coming at him. "A fake out?!" he thought to himself as the fist hit him in the chest, sending him into the treeline. ANiko stood looking at the monster in front of her Placid had become. She dashed forward grabbing his arms and began to drain energy. But, Placid reared his head back, slamming his head into hers. Thus, throwing her down into the dirt, and this time, out cold. He laughed, grabbing her by the head. "I see... Yeah..." he said looking at Aniko and grinning. He jumped back and his arms morphed into the usual appearance, then, he ran with his prey over his shoulder to the hideout Nuriko had made for herself.
"This night is going to get dangerous...!"

Nuriko pretty much took the position as a median, helping guide his control of the harbingers, as well as keeping Parshath in check. Her link to the full moon increasing not only her and Thanatos power, but now Placids as well. Her only worry was power overload, but she tried to keep the power at a slow trickle. He already seemed to be having emotional overloads, she didn't want him to be completely lost. She was also completely shocked at Kaidens appearance. His comment about Noxious pissed her off though.
"Seriously? Is that what people think? That I'm only capable of this level of power under Noxious influence? What complete nonsense. Plus Noxious works completely different than this." She puffed angrily, though she knew the only person who could hear her was Placid.
When they reached her hidden hideout, she took a deep breath, watching the world through Placid. "Ok. You need to adjust to your current power levels before taking her on. I think we may have pushed you forward a little too fast. Also..." She urged him, not quite controlling him, just showing him how, to summon her swords that she had recently finished crafting. She was remarkably proud of how they had turned out. "These are linked to the power of Thanatos and I. Also, take advantage of moon phases, but be careful. Your biggest issue right now is adjusting and control."

"Control..." he said looking rather exhausted. "Control is something I never lack in." he said grunting at the pain in his head. "There is something wrong. I feel pains in my Harbringers Soul. The area Thanatos and Parshath reside, something isn't right!" he said looking around the hideout. He tossed Aniko to the floor and smiled. "It means nothing to me, your blades are just another gear in this machine. But, the only issue is now..." he said grinning, "How are we going to bring them all to their knees..."
He said this looking down at the unconscious girl, beginning to laugh. Placid held his head tightly and groaned. "Nevermind... I don't need to know..." he said looking at Aniko.
"I think its time I had a new friend come over and play..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaiden awoke a couple of hours later, looking around to see that Placid had vanished. Aniko was gone as well, perhaps taken by his brother. "Dammit!" he said looking around, "Ok, now something is wrong!" he said running toward the mountains. He met the enterance of the cave with a shout. "Father?! Dad?! Are you here?!" he shouted to find them waking up from their nights sleep. Diabound sighed looking rather half asleep, Willow, Sanya, and Khirai nearby still groggy. "Dad! Something is wrong with Placid! VERY WRONG!"
After another hour of explaining over some coffee, Diabound sat there looking down in horror. "He did... What?!" he said looking at Kaiden. "This isn't good... What about Nuriko, have you told her about this?" Kaiden shook his head, "No, I haven't seen her in days, I figured she was just escaping for awhile, like she tends to do sometimes. Do you think she...?" he began to ask. Diabound nodded, "I have no doubt in my mind that she is involved somehow. I noticed a strange shift in her behavior ever since we locked Noxious away. Both of them." he said looking at the shelf. "My notes on Placid were exstensive. He was built to be... well... a Machine." he said shutting his eyes. Sanya looked at him and questioned him, "A 'Machine'?" she asked. Diabound nodded, looking at her then back to Kaiden.
"I designed Placid to be... You. All of you. You children all suffered from emotional defects that... well... made you people. Made you a living, breathing, person. In my eyes, in those times, those were imperfections that led to results I couldn't afford to have. So, I build Placid. A Machine, no emotions. He was to harvest your Harbringers, and take your places as the horsemen. You'd all survive the process, but, the scars of the process would eat at you all. I didn't want to do that to you." he sighed and smiled sadly. "In a way, its the one time I think I realized I had some part of me left. I couldn't bring myself to harm you all further."
Kaiden looked down, thinking harder about the situation. "So, what I am hearing is..." he said looking back up at Diabound. "Is that Placid is reinstated?" he said looking serious. Diabound looked back at his son and sighed, "That I can't tell you. Placid has always been... watching. For all I know he is doing this for reasons none of us could fathom. That, or he could be using his abilities under the wrong influences." he said looking at Kaiden.
"But, why would Nuriko do something like that? She hasn't ever wanted to hurt anyone!" Kaiden said looking upset. "I am unsure. She is almost as hard to read, if not more so, than Placid. For the time being, I need to research this. Whatever you do, do NOT tell Pest. If he finds out what happened to Aniko, the whole Island is at risk." he said looking at Kaiden. He nodded and stood up and began out the cave before Diabound called out to him.
"Kaiden, be sure to not do anything stupid. At this point Placid could kill you, we still don't know if he would. Stay away for now."

Nuriko concentrated for a moment before opening her eyes, finding herself in the area that housed Placid's Harbingers. It looked different than Tori's and hers, but she assumed each one changed based on the person. She walked along the room, noticing what looked like alters with the harbingers in them. Thanatos was chilling in his, not really seeming to care what was going on. She saw Parshath on another, laying there whining, chained to the ground. Then she found another empty shrine before reaching the end of the room and stopping, confused. She gazed up at what looked like a crystallic cocoon, glowing. There were chains and wards all over it. She wasn't sure if they were trying to keep something out of in.
"Huh... thats odd." She stood there, crossing her arms and staring at it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That won't be necessary..."
Hikari walked in as Kaiden was walking out. She turned him around and nudged him back inside. She sighed, looking like a mirror image of her mother when she was young, just with her fathers eyes. She crossed her arms across her chest and looked around the room. She looked almost melancholy.
"I've been watching Nuriko for the last couple months. At first it was in person, when the shift first started occuring, I was bringing her food, kept her company occasionally. She was going through one of her 'I need to be alone' moments, so I left it at that. Figured she'd go back to normal soon. But around the time Placid and Nuriko helped seal Noxious, was when both of them started showing... changes. Nuriko started to become obsessed with all of her old research from after the split. When her and Adrianne were using her connection with Thanatos to research the Harbingers. They also talked alot of what Adrianne knew of Placids condition, but Adrianne didn't know too much. But Nuriko started filling the gaps with what she had started learning about Placid from him. According to her notes, which I can't get ahold of at the moment due to not being able to go near her hideout recently, Placid is going through a seriously advanced form of emotional overload due to interference from a harbinger. Mainly Parshath, who he 'inherited' from Tori at his death. He's feeling all of the most basic of mortal emotions, but all at once, and in significantly higher levels. Jealousy, anger, lust..." She looked awkwardly away from the group. She took a deep breath.
"Which brings me to Nuriko's issues, and my reason I came to you in the first place. Because I know she would have wanted us to find a way to fix this. And i'm not 100% sure about this, Just from what I've observed, this seems the most logical conclusion. Because I've seen her eyes..." She shuddered thinking about it. "The flash of blue. Remnants of Noxious corruption..." She leaned against the wall.
"This is my theory. Noxious is involved, but at the same time he's not. When Kaiden cast him out of Nuriko, she locked what was cast out inside a shard of her scythe. But he was not entirely cast out. A VERY small fraction of Noxious remained. Not enough to manifest himself, but enough to form a corruption of its own. Think like a mirror. Everyone has those feelings and traits that they hate about themselves. The version of themselves they see in the mirror. The thing they dread becoming. Well, thats what Nuriko has turned into. She's not evil in a sense. She's become manipulative, whimsical, and has lost all care of consequences. She's been using Placid's emotional upheaval as a way to fill her own emotional void. And also seems to be remarkably interested in what he was SUPPOSED to have been." She stopped, looking around them.
"Unfortunately, that is all I have been able to figure out, as I had to stop trailing her about a week or two ago out of fear of being found out by Placid."
Adrianne thought hard for a moment, something ringing a bell. "I think I've heard of this form of corruption before, but never with Noxious. It can happen with any form of corruption to those who are easily corruptible. It was part of why Nuriko and I were experimenting on her to begin with. Being as powerful as she was at such a young age and that mentally unstable, she was deeply afraid of being prone to corruption."

Parshath looked up enough to see Nuriko looking around, he whined and his head fell back to the ground it laid upon. When Nuirko eyed the crystal, it began to glow. Whispers and groans fell almost silently in the area, making it seem menacing.
-----------------------
Kaiden listned to the explanation and looked away. "That... Even after locking him up, he still screw with us..." he said agitated. Diabound stood up and looked at Hikari and his wife. "If Placid is going through this kind of stress, that only makes her plan easier. If she manages to bring out the original plan for Placid, we are in BIG trouble." he said looking over at his shelf and pulling the notes he had on Placid. "Placid was designed to be merciless. He would do his jobs without hesitation, without morality in mind. Its what she wanted him to do...!" he said stopping. "That... Damn woman..." he said looking down at his notes. "Alana, Nuriko's mother, was the one that gave me the ok to make Placid. But, there were things I never agreed with when she was involved. All she did was get in my way back then, but, now..." he said looking at Kaiden. "Bottom line is this: If we don't stop Placid before he decides Aniko and Kikin don't belong together, then we can kiss this island good-bye!" he said looking dead serious. Kaiden nodded, "Then, it sounds like I will need a bit of help wont I?" he said running off toward the mansion.
He bused through the door and saw Pest laying on the couch, being lazy. "Get up, I need your help. I will explain on the way." he said looking around. "Where are the kids?!" he asked worriedly. Pest jumped up and shook his head, "They are at Mihari's, spending time with Lili." he said raising an eyebrow. "Lets move, and tell me whats going on." he said as they ran out the door as swiftly as possible. Kaiden explained and Pest grew angry. "He WHAT?!" he shouted as he adjusted his mask. "Pita... I will save you and my sister!" he said as they ran up toward the cave. They entered, seeing the group discussing more tactics. "I have some info that I would like to share, but, I also wanted to wait until I brought Pest back for this one. I had a fight with Placid, but, something was VERY wrong when we fought. I sensed multiple wavelengths of energy coming from him, one I felt familiar with. I think he somehow managed to get Parshath. The other was just as familiar. I felt Thanatos more than anything. I have a feeling Nuriko may have done something drastic, but, I didn't sense her at all anywhere..." he said looking worried.
"Ok, Hikari, tell me what you think would be the best idea for now. What should we do?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Placid looked at Aniko, smiling. "I am getting bored..." he said as she was waking up. She had been bound again, but this time, with paper seals and runes. Her energy was sealed shut, and she felt no better than a mortal. She looked at him. "W-What are you planning to do?" she said looking at him with a slight look of fear in her eyes. He chuckled, "Nothing you will get hurt by, well, not physically." he said flicking her forehead. "I just think Kikin would be better suited to hang out with me is all..." he smiled and it made her jump. "You are insane, you cant take him out of me!" she said and that causing him to laugh. "I can't?! Oh, how wrong you are! Your sister has taught me many things during the time we spent together. We learned.... QUITE a bit..." he said looking down at the bound girl. She shut her eyes and shuddered. She could feel what he meant, and she was hurting because knowing it made her think of Kaiden. "You... You monster!" she said, causing him to silence.
"Monster...?" he said looking down at her. He was visited by memories, visions of his past. As a child, in the Highborn labs, the others got to freely roam. Others looked at him like he was a freak. "You... think I am a... Monster?" he said making a fist. He then grabbed her by the throat, slamming her to the floor. "YOU ARE JUST LIKE THEM! ALL OF YOU!" he said, his eyes glowing blue again. "ALL OF YOU THOUGHT I WAS A FREAK!!" he shouted before gripping her throat harder. But, as he did, he loosened the grip and let her go. She coughed and wheezed slightly.
"None of you had any respect for me! The only one who showed me any compassion was Diabound, but, I wasn't shown any love, just interest for what I was... If you think I am a monster now... You haven't seen anything yet..."

Adrianne's eyes widened as she heard Kaiden's confession. "God dammit..." She looked between Diabound and Kaiden. "This means we're in more trouble than I originally thought. Because it means that Nuriko is using herself to help placid maintain control of the harbingers. Thanatos is too unpredictable, Placid wouldn't likely be able to get him under his control without her. But that also means he's fueling himself off of HER power. And it's a full moon..." She gazes toward the entrance of the cave, looking concerned. Hikari sighed, looking around the group. "What if we pushed him to overload? If he isn't trained to be able to handle that much, than if he tried drawing on too much of Nuriko's power, than he'd burn out, right? It's like putting a low wattage light bulb into a socket that puts out more power than it can handle. Would that work?" She looked curiously at Diabound.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuriko walked quietly back through the temple and sat on the alter with Thanatos. She placed a hand on his side, smiling. Thanatos looked down at her and nodded.

Diabound looked around the room and sighed. "That might work. But, it could also do some severe damage. Fatal damage." he said folding his arms and shutting his eyes, "There aren't any real options at this point. I never designed Placid to have a contingency plan. I never planned on using him, so, I never made one..." he said it looking up at Hikari. "The only thing we have to go on is that. So, it will have to work. If he is holding them in his body, there will be a central area in which they reserve themselves. That is where we need to be." he said walking over to a whiteboard. He began drawing out a map of the highborn body, showcasing major points of interest. "These areas here; The folds in your arms and legs, the opposites of your elbows and knees have a point of energy concentration. The same goes for each finger, and the palm of your hand." he said marking each and then looking over the art. "Lastly, the major factors being each valve of the heart, making four more. Then, the last one being behind the neck. You all have been taught to make your energy refined. Meaning, you all have uses of these Points. So, strinking them can cut the flow of your energy to a specific body part. This will hinder you no stronger with that part than... Well..." he said raising his arms.
"Me." he said tapping the board. "Each of these points are VITAL. Meaning taking any of them out can be a HUGE advantage." he said looking at Kaiden. Kaiden stepped forward with a light sweat. "You mean... We have to cripple him?" he said grasping the back of his neck. "No. Not there. Placid is a hand to hand fighter. His legs and arms need to be shut off from his energy, then, you need to force yourself into his reserves and fill him up. Once he begins to surge, anyone inside will be thrown out. Harbringers... or not." he said looking at the center of the artwork. "This area is unmapped. It could be the size of a room, or, the size of an entire country. It just depends on the soul inside the body." he said looking sad.
"But, it shouldn't be any bigger than a small room." he said it and put a cap on the marker he had been using. "Its because Placid has no... No soul..." Kaiden said looking slightly guilty. Diabound nodded slowly, "Yes. That makes the job easier..." when he said it he looked to Willow. "Now, this is where yo and Sanya come into play. You two were made similiar to Placid, you will need to accompany Kaiden inside." he said looking at them seriously. Sanya looked worriedly at him.
"B-But, why?" she said curiously. "Well, your energy matches his BASE energy. But, Kaiden alone can't do it as I am sure someone..." he said looking at Hikari, "...Will try and fight back. That is where you two come in. You have the energy combined to flush into him, then, once he surges, you three can escape. It isn't my best plan, but, it is all I got." he said folding his arms.
"I would rather not risk anyone but...-" he said being cut off. "Oh the hell with you!" pest shouted looking rather pissed off. "It was you! You did this to us all! Your own son! You are a monster!" he said looking at him with angry tears. "You did this to ME!" he said grasping the mask which wound and hissed. Diabound looked down in shame, "I... I know what I did. Not a day goes by when I wish I could take it all back. Kaiden's suffering with Noxious, what he did to you..." he said looking at Pest.
"But, that needs to come later! No time to worry about the past!" he said looking up and at Pest with a straight face. Pest looked at him and pointed at Willow and Sanya. "Sorry, these two ain't going anywhere..." he said looking at Kaiden. "I have more in my reserves to ensure he goes down. These two just need ensure that he stays where he is once we get inside. Deal?" he said looking at Diabound, he smiled and nodded.
"Agreed. Now, let's go over the game plan one more time..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parshath looked up at her and shuddered. Pushing out a whine, its head collapsed. The front of it showed a crack forming as it moved its head to face the large crystal, then, as soon as it had found its way into this world, it grew darker in color. Then, it sat still. No whines or anything. The chains that bound it to the table snapped and they slid off the being slowly, hitting the ground with a large metallic thud. Then, silence.
The crystal began to glow a slight blue before shuddering, then, sitting silently as before.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Placid stood up and smiled. "Oh, thats all you had?" he said as Aniko looked at him, "..." she sat looking at him nervously. He looked at her, smiling. "Oh, its nothing. I just made more room is all..." he said grinning. "Parshath isn't in need of his spot anymore. Therefore, that means Kikin has a spot to fill..." he said looking at Aniko, his eyes fluxuating colors, not able to be stable between red and blue. She looked at him with fear, then he grabbed her head and his hand began to glow. "Now, relieve yourself of that duty! LET ME HAVE HIM!" he shouted angrily, Aniko shutting her eyes and screaming in pain. Her eyes opened and tears began to fall, "Placid! STOP!" she screamed, wanting mercy.
"Don't worry... You will have a spot too... Just like HER!" he said as her body began to turn into dust and flow into him. Then, silence fell as PLacid stood there, hunched over. He began to shake, as two arms and legs ripped out of his back, placing themselves stationary alongside his regular limbs. They looked like Kikin's legs and they formed around the back of Placids arms, going over his elbows. and the other two covering the back of Placid's legs. He then began to laugh, almost sounding winded. He looked at the nearby table and wobbled over to it, he grasped it. This caused the table to begen to darken and fall apart. Then, it crumpled into dust. He smiled, sweat rolling down his face. Then, he looked up, and his eyes were a solid Yellow.
"Let.... them.... COME."
--------------------------------------
Aniko opened her eyes to see a hazy image. A large creature with its arms bound upward and its legs entirely gone. Her vision cleared, then she saw Kikin. Who looked like he had been mutilated. The chains had begun to glow, then Kikin began to roar in pain and he began to squirm. Aniko tried sitting up, but she was too fatigued. "Kikin...!" she pushed out as she began to tear up. She shut her eyes and began to tremble.
"Please... stop this...!"

Nuriko stood up quietly, walking along the room towards the empty alter in the front point of the room. She stopped for a moment as Kikin materialized in one of the alters, bound by chains and appearing almost mutilated. "Hmmm..." She glanced down at Aniko, who appeared to be sobbing weakly at Kikins feet. She turned back toward the front and continued her slow walk. As she moved slowly, her clothes had changed to that of her outfit she wore as an angel of death. Her arms and legs were wrapped up in black rags, and she had a black dress on that looked torn at the bottom. She closed her eyes, mumbling something under her breath as she made an oval movement in the air with her hand. As she finished, a mirror materialized in the air where she was gesturing. It seemed like a normal mirror, except for the dark crystal it was made out of which seemed to give off a very malignant aura. She turned around, her back facing the mirror as she stared forward, staring blank faced at the crystal across the room from her, her eyes shining a bright blue.
--------------------------------------------------
Hikari shook her head for a moment, looking almost confused. "Nuriko has been avoiding dirtying her hands at all this entire time. I don't see her attempting to fight anything unless shes backed into a corner. But..." She crinkled her nose. "I may know a way to reset the corruption! Depending on how its done. If its inside, generally cognitive re-calibration works just fine. But if there's some form of item involved, it may need to be broken. I'm not sure..." She looked frustrated, thinking of everything she had learned over the years and in the little time she was trailing nuriko before she went weird.

Placid made his way to the central chamber of the hideout and sat in the center of the room. His head was hurting alot, but, he assumed it was just from him not being used to the power yet. He took a deep breath and smiled softly. "Am I good enough now?" he said looking up and his eyes turning different shades of colors. "I am always there, but, I was never good enough for you was I?" he said sounding delirious. "You all were so afraid of me..." he said holding his head as it pounded. "NO... No more..." he said shaking his head.
"No more... Please..."
-----------------------------------
The room began to shudder slightly as Nuriko was blankly staring at herself in the mirror. The chains around Kikin began to loosen and he slumped slightly. Aniko looked up and fell back to the floor. "I... I can't do anything can I sister? Why won't you stop...?" she said looking at Nuriko. "Why are you two doing this to us? What about Kaiden...?" she said looking destroyed.
"What about all of us...?"
-----------------------------------
Diabound listened to the girls statement and grew angry. "Sounds like her damn mo...-" he began before listening to Hikari's ideas. Kaiden listend closely, nodding. "Yeah, I have seen mine many times. We all have a central source. THe power he has flowing through him will most likely be some sort of conduit. Maybe a refined part of his soul... or something like it?" he said looking at his father. Diabound looked at the art on the board and plucked the cap off his pen. "Yeah..." he said starting to draw. "The point of interest could be anything. But, it has to be something sharp or pointed. It needs a fine exiting point. Maybe a rod, perhaps a crystal." he said doing a rough sketch. "This is what you two need to overload. Break it, all of Placid's central power is gone and that part of him collapses." he says sighing. "The only problem is that I wouldn't know if it would kill him or no-..." he said as Kaiden puts his hand up. He makes a fist and the room grows silent.
"No." he said tears rolling down his face. "I am bringing my little brother home." he said as Sanya and Willow smiled sadly. Pest looking away, and Diabound smiling softly. "Alright. Then lets bring him back home." he said as he and the twins followed. Pest followed, passing by Hikari. "Where is she?" he said as he looked at Kaiden. "I don't feel..." he stated before looking at the cave entrance. He felt a surge of energy that felt familiar to him. "Did... Did you feel that?" he said looking at Kaiden. Kaiden looked at him and swallowed, "That felt like..."
"Kikin!" Pest said darting out of the door and taking off toward the outskirts of town. Kaiden chased after him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I want his arms broken!" Pest said as they came closer to Placid's room. Once they reached the door, Sanya and Willow looked at one another, nodding. Kaiden opened the large doors, to see an empty room with large archways in the back. Laughter rang in the empty room, "So! You finally decided to show up!" Placid said standing up. He eyed Kaiden, then Pest. "Oh look... You brought me another meal..." he said smugly. "You might want to be careful what you say, words taste worse going back down your throat." Pest said, sounding immensely pissed off. Placid looked behind them to see the twins and Diabound. "Oh! A family reunion! Daddy! Sissies! Even big brother Kaiden. The PRIDE AND JOY of the FAMILY." he said tilting his head, smiling sadly. Kaiden loosened his shoulders and swallowed the lump in his throat, then, branded a practice Katana. "Ready?" he said, the group all nodding in agreement. "Oh come on. A Practice blade? You do know... that doesn't cut, right?" he said holding his arms out, two blades forming out of nowhere. He twirled them and smiled. "LETS GO!" he said dashing forward. Kaiden stood there and the group dashed away from him. "They leave your side in the face of danger?! YOU ARE A LONELY FOOL ARENT YOU!?" Placid shouted as Kaiden reared back, hitting Placids Inner Elbow, shutting off the first node. This caused Placid to fly past him and tumble onto his feet.
"What... What did you...?!" he said as the sword in his right hand began to crumble. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" he said looking at him and nodding, shouting. "NOW!" he said as a red crystal flew by him and struck Placid in the other arm. He screamed, and removed the Crystal. He looked at Willow, who had her arm up in the shape of a spiked cannon. "You...!" he said as he saw Kaiden grab him. Pest ran up, slamming Placid in the knees, causing him to fall backward. "LET GO!" he said as Kaiden smirked, "Not yet..." he said as Him and Pest began to vanish. "N-NO!" he said as they entered his inner chamber. "Damn you all!" he said standing up, looking at Willow and Sanya. "You two are going to die here." he said looking at them, the fear in Sanya growing slightly. He dashed forward swiftly, slamming her back, then, locking into a grapple with Willow. "Come now... You think they can save anyone now? I am giving everyone the show I was made for. It's too late..." he said smiling. "Come, why not join me. A freak needs to have close allies..." he said looking over at Sanya who was getting on her feet. "You two know what it means to be like me... A COUPLE OF FREAKS!" he said. Willow grew a bit weaker at his words. "Freaks...?" she said looking at him, slightly worried.
"Yeah... We are the same after all aren't we?!"
----------------------------------------------------
Kaiden and Pest awoke to blurry vision, it cleared swiftly, but, the area felt wrong. Tainted. They looked forward, seeing Kikin and Aniko, and ran to them. Pest looked her over, trying to wake her. Kaiden dawned his weapon of choice, cutting the chains around Kikin. Then he looked to see Thanatos sitting there, watching. He wasn't binded, then he turned to see Parshath. He laid there, still. Kaiden rushed to his said and as soon as he touched him, he felt no energy. Kaiden looked at the harbringer in shock, gripping it. "I'm... I'm sorry..." he said looking at the being, being reminded of Tori. "I failed. Didn't I?" he said looking away. He looked up seeing Nuriko, looking at herself in that mirror. "I know you can feel us here. Whats the matter? To enamored with yourself to say anything?" he said wiping the tears away.
-----------------------------------------------------
Placid smiled. "I can feel you in there... crawling around like the rodents you are. I know you can hear me too...!" he said looking into Willow's eyes. "You think you are strong? You think you know how to beat me? You think talking to her will solve anything? You haven't a clue." he said laughing. "You haven't known her like I have. Not like I have at all the last few weeks..." he said looking menacing. "Our encounters will always live on, what we did together, those are the things you DREAM of doing with her. ISN'T IT KAIDEN?!" he said tightening his grip on Willow.
--------------------------------------------------------
Kaiden had been making his way to the crystal when he heard Placid's voice ring through. He froze, feeling like his whole body had been torn in two. He turned to Nuriko, his eyes were filled with fear. "What... What are you talking about...?" he said as the chains around Thanatos began to tighten slightly. All he heard was laughter, and Pest looked down at Aniko, who had stopped breathing. "Aniko!" he said looking at her worriedly. "C'mon!" he said pushing on her chest, trying to get her to breath. She wouldn't move, and neither was Kikin. He looked up at Kaiden and he was frozen.
"KAIDEN! WE NEED TO MOVE NOW!"

Nuriko turned away from the mirror, her face blank as usual as she gazed at Thanatos for a moment before looking down at the group in front of her. But as she moved, the mirror came in clearer view. There was another Nuriko chained and hung by her hands, seeming unconscious. The Nuriko in front of them gazed blankly at them with bright blue eyes.
"You act as if I did something wrong..." She said calmly, but her voice echoed strangely. "He asked me for help. I helped him." She turned and gazed back at the unconscious Nuriko in the mirror before turning back to Kaiden. Then she grinned vindictively, looking remarkably like Alana. "If it makes you feel any better, she won't remember anything thats happened in the last month. But EVERYONE has to live up to their mistakes... I'm guessing your father is getting a pretty good taste of this about now." Her face calmed again, returning to its nearly blank state. Then she looked up at the crystal across the room.
